Info: for Neverdie

I can understand it can be a pain in the ass to have the peds and amps ready to spend and no pilot to fly you there.

But like others already said, NeverDie has nothing to do with the pilot business and there is not much he can do (atleast not in a short timeframe). And normally there are pilots enough, you just have bad luck.

I am completely baffled by some of the responses to this thread "... it is not Neverdie's problem"... and "there's not much NVD can do".

It most certainly IS his problem. Neverdie invested a butt-load of money to acquire his little private vacation spot in this "virtual universe", for which we, the players, have to pay money to visit.

Think about popular vacation destinations in real life, such as remote tropical islands, where the only way to get there is via boat or plane. Their economies depend on tourists' money, and the tourists won't want to go there to spend their money if there's no transportation available on a regularly scheduled basis. Neverdie, Mind Ark, and the pilots should come together and work something out to improve the pilot system.

well you are right in the fact that it is NVDs problem, without pilots he will not get any more entropians up to CND.

But still I think this was just a bad choise of words, when jade wrote this, the prolem is that he canot control the pilots (he probably would like to, but he cant).

The pilots are normal people who run their hangars as bussines, the more flights they have the more cash they make. But they do need some time off sometime (sleep anyone). sometimes it happends that all pilots are away from EU at the same time. NVD cant force them to stay online and fly people to CND (or MA to CP), even if he probably would like sometimes.
MA could introduce 200 more hangars and there would be pilots ready all the time, but at the same time, the value of the hangars would crash since you could not make a profit on them.

MA, NVD and the pilots could arange a scedule so that there will be someone ready for takeoff all the time, but then they would control the investment of the people that bought the hangars, this will not happend.

Even a booking system wont help for situations like theese when all pilots are offline.

The Pilots work as much as they feel like or am much as they can (MA cant interfeer to much, they are free investors), that would like to provide a service for a profit. But they still have to take some time of for sleep, days of for the family and so on.

What i want to come back to is:
Dont be to hard on anyone, the pilots that I have seen online (about 4 or 5) have all been hard working people.
NVD would probably want more visitors to CND, but he cannot do anything realy.
MA could implement more Hangars and more space ships, this would crush the pilots that already has a bussines, and that will not happend, atleast not untill the new planets open and the requests for space flights increases (then it would not destroy the existing pilots).

The best thing you can do is get most/all pilots on your FL (or on Entropians instant messenger or Xfire, and try to contact anyone when you want to travel.

... Good advice, but it shouldn't be OUR responsibility to know all of the pilots and be in contact with them 24 hours a day to know when there are open flights available. For example: If I want to fly to California, I can go online, compare available flight times and costs for different airlines in advance, and plan my trip accordingly.

In EU, if my favorite pilots aren't online (Cleetus where u at dawg!), I just buy some ore amps and run around Amethera, and Neverdie doesn't get my peds. It's that simple. Maybe part of the problem is that I am in the USA, and I usually play late at night (10pm-2am E.S.T.) when EU is pretty empty.

Maybe the pilots should be more pro-active in letting the player base know what times they are online (perhaps a forum thread for pilots and flight times, or a similar in-game system). I think a booking system would certainly work, if you could schedule a flight days in advance. I don't understand how Neverdie didn't get any say in how the pilots/hangar system was implemented, since CND depends on the pilots to bring customers to him.

P.S. MindArk, for the love of Lootius, make the space flight animation a bit less ghetto! We spend 20 or so peds to see a black screen and some random text (G-Force Regulator blah blah blah) for 10 seconds... At least give us a little eye candy for the trip!

Most of the people have me on FL . If u still cant get hold of me you have 3 ways of reaching me then

1. Ask in tiwns to see if any one has a any pilot in FL ,the obvious one .
2. send a message to mylcat@gmail.com - or use gtalk to send a message i will be online always.
3. Drop a pm to my id 'Pilot' in EUforum.

If we are at a different location we will tell u who is flying to twins at that point of time.

Where are the time's that there where pilotline's ?

I remember sometime's 8 pilots standing in line.
I looks like most of the pilots are gone.

What happend to the hangar's someone bought them all ??

There are still, they just all tend to be in the opposite destination at the same time

It took me 2 hours to get to CND yesterday and even then I had to pay a pilot to fly down to pick 4 of us up which makes it rather expensive. I then land on CND to see 4-5 pilots in the line waiting for passengers when we were crying out for transport at Twins. No doubt I will have the same problem again to get back down as all the pilots will be in their line at Twins while I'm standing in the CR

1 or 2 days to get down.

As far as I can tell - there is no shortage of hangars in the game.

However it seems most are not owned by people willing to provide a public flight service.

There is already a thread here in EF:

to provide contact details for pilots.

I can be contacted on EF, EntropianIM, Xfire or Windows Messenger whenever I am online. If I cant fly you myself, I'll at least try to let you know who the next pilot available is
