Freyr & Sodiak Proudly Presents :  Defend your Claim a weekly MINING event series (10 events this season) with league scoring, no hunting, no PVP This is the chance for all miners out there to prove yourself. After a summer break Defend your Claim is back for its third season ! It's time for you miners out there to get your glory. This season will have a total prize pool of over 6000 Ped! Join for the competition, join for the fun, join cause its just a whole new experience. Location and time All events will take place on CND every Sunday at 17.00 MA. NEW TIME & DAY! Event duration is 1 hour, as always. Ticket costs Event ticket costs 25ped, these can be bought from Sodi and Freyr or you can register directly at the terminals in the fertilizer room (Tickets have to be registered in the fertilizer room at the appropriate terminal) Here is a link to Eyecontacts post on how to register for an event. Prizes: Event prizes (every event) : First place : 1x OA-104(L) & Real life mob figurine* Second place : 1x OA-103 (L) Sponsored by Zyyk Third place : Avatar makeover by Leeloo Mountain Block prizes (every third event) : 1x OA-107(L) Season prizes (Final standings in league after 10 events) 1st place : Ziplex TK320(L) or OA-109(L) (winners choice) 2nd place : 500 Ped & Real life mob figurine* 3rd place : 400 Ped & Real life mob figurine* 4th place : 300 Ped 5th place : 150 Ped 6th place : 100 Ped 7th place : 75 Ped 8th place : 50 Ped Since there is no option to turn off the hunting part in the event settings all events will be set to highest single loot. A small prize will be rewarded to the person with the highest single hunting loot. * can max be won 3 times by the same avatar Rules Because MA hasn't implemented a way to keep score of the points in events like these, Defend your Claim will mostly to be a screenshot event. The following screenshot rules apply : All screenshots must have a timestamp (C) and your claim deed must be open with claim size visible, shown global/hof message visible All screenshots must be posted within 96 hours (before 18.00 MA on Thursday after the event)  League Scoring Every registered competitor, that post results in the screenshot thread, receives 1 point. After each event top 8 miners will receive points for the league scoring. 1st place +12 2nd place +10 3rd place +8 4th place +5 5th place +4 6th place +3 7th place +2 8th place +1 Bonus points Bonus points can be earned by posting your globals and hof's, every 5th global or every 3rd hof gives you 1 bonus point. globals/hofs can be stretched over multiple events but have to be marked as global/hof when posting the results after every event. Bonus points count toward League scoring only (not the mini league's) Event types There are three different event types : Highest Single Claim, Most Claims and Highest Total Claim size Highest Single Claim (HSC) : The miner with the Highest Single Claim wins this event. An easy event for everyone to follow, whoever gets the highest claim (global or maybe hof) wins. Points for the league scoring will be given out according to Claimsize Should there be a tie in a claim size below global value then both miners get equal points if above global value the amount of peds decides your place in the ranks. Most Claims (MC) : The miner with Most number of Claims wins this event. Exactly as it sounds in this event type every claim counts no matter of size. If there is a tie here then the miner with the highest total value of claim sizes wins the event, this works for remaining places in top 8 in same way. Highest Total Claim (HTC) : The miner with the Highest Total Claimsize wins this event. This means that after all screenshots are in all the claimsizes of each miner are added up and the miner with the highest total claimsize value wins the event. If we have a tie here the miner with the least amount of claims wins. As stated before this will mostly be a screenshot event series all event prizes will be handed out before the start of the next event. We hope you understand that there will be a lot of screenshots and some calculations before event winners can be decided and league points can be given. But we really want everyone to have good time and a fun series. Since it seems MA is in no rush to change the event system this for now is unfortunately the only way. Post your screenshots HERE within 96 hours! CHANGES FROM LAST SEASON - Mini League's This season will be divided in three blocks of events. There wont be a "break" between blocks. First event will be a warm-up event, but with all the normal prizes and season points handed out. Every block contain one of each event type: HSC, MC and HTC. After a block is finished the miner that have recieved most season points during that block will recieve one OA-107(L). Good Luck, and may the best miner win! This looks like a lot of fun i might have to dust of the deed to my CND appt and get to mining on this !! it seems like it owuld be a blast even though i am not a high skilled miner
