Proffesion level for BP level

Can anyone tell me what engineering profession level is required for each BP level? Bought a Heavy Duty Filter BP (level VII), says on it that required level is 0.0, yet it says I do not have the skills (level 10.5 mech engineer).

Apologies if this has been answered somewhere else, but I can't find it :-(

Heavy Duty Filter BP is a non SIB (Skill Increase Bonus) BP. Levels are provided when you get SIB (Component II book).
Of course if you use a BP from Book I (without SIB) it shows that the level to use it is 0.0 but you won't be able to use if efficiently if you don't have enough skills.

My advise is: Start with low level BPs (like Standard Damper) or better with BPs that have SIB (LVL 1 or 2 from Component Book II)

I have done the filters, and dampers. It isn't a matter of not using it efficiently, it is a matter of not being able to use it at all (I get the little red triangle flashing).

The red thingy comes when your cos bar is at the 6ths big line from the top. (actually at a little higher point ( like half of that little lines distance ))
if you have 0.0 quality rating, you can just use the recomendations of book II, for any same level print, to know when red thingy wont come for your blueprint of Book I. But it sais nothing about when to start using the print, it just allerts you, that it is realy freaking stupid to use the print at that point with so low cos, since the alert must come at some point, its still pretty stupid to use it at a little more cos then that.

Level I: rec prof level 0
Level II: rec prof level 2,5
Level III: rec prof level 5
Level IV: rec prof level 7,5
Level V: rec prof level 10
Level VI: rec prof level 12,5
Level VII: rec prof level 15
Level VIII: rec prof level 17,5
Level IX: rec prof level 20
Level X: rec prof level 22,5

Book II prints wont give you the profession level chunk of cos bar untill you reached recommendation level. It only gives you the qr part for the cos-bar, which is even at 100qr not enough to get above the red thingy point. So you have no choice as to use it first then when you reached rec level. Reaching it gives you the prof level part unlock for the cos-bar, which is at book II the most part then and a little more as you level, making it already good to use when you have the rec level, because cosbar is already getting green, which is exactly the minimum i would recommend using any blueprint: green cos-bar.

So about that level VII print.
At level 15 it will be exactly at the above discribed position, which is exactly still as far away as it can get from using it. Start using it, when you see it getting green or late yellow, like about 4th big line from top. That would be level 20+.. . You could however start it at any point earlyer which will give you as eco return as the cos-bar shows and gets no influence what so ever weather the red thingy does its thing or not.

( Cos-bar is the bar that changes its colour (red-yellow-green) at the crafting machine, meaning chance of success, in case someone needs to know :p )

-edit- just for the heck of it: reaching level 20, strating from level 10, will need you about 3 times as much relative efford that you needed from 0 to 10, factoring in newly gained bpc speed of leveling.

you must realise that in the whole game most books have its maximum print at X. VII is freaking high already xD.. hope you can figure out with this post what is good to use for you and what will soon be! hf =p
