Is it possible to unlock bpc making textures...

Hey guys. Just wondering if anyone has an idea on this. I'm pretty sure tailoring wont unlock bpc, but does manufacturing textures? Cheers guys.

You gain Engineering while crafting textures, so it is possible to unlock BPC with textures, but damn hard way to do this.
Much easyer with components!

Tailoring def won't. I hit 10 in that about 2 days before 10 in Material Manufacturing. and then just today

Yes, it's possible, Level 10 in Material Manufacturer will unlock BPC.

Hmm.... could crafting generic leather textures be the cheapest way to bpc these days?

Only if you've got 10k points in Patience, because there's no equivalent of Standard Dampers to move up to. Skilling on Generic Leather past Level 5 is painfully slow, I've found, and the best Level 2 skillng BPs cost 10 times per click what Dampers do.
