I wonder if some crafters are up for a test tomorrow after 15:00 MA time?
The test is this: We craft Simple I Plastic Springs or Simple I Plastic Conductors. The goal is this: I think that if you craft what other's craft the chance of a nice return is higher - in other words globals with start quite soon after we start to craft the same itemz. Place could be somewhere with enough space. Anyone? /Seamaster |

i'm rather inclined to believe oleg, i think that crafting is affected by cycles but these have little to do with how many people are crafting at the same time. Not scientific but most people i've ever spoken to believe the same.... anyway...

The question is how to measure or predict them. I generally think it's impossible to do that, and all you can do is read what you see, and act appropriately. The crafting theory that seamaster mentioned is a bit like the theory some people have that, when many people are hunting the same mob (e.g. during an event), the mob will loot better. I don't think that's the case - I think it simply speeds up the cycles, so that during Exaromania you'll probably get 5 or 6 globals on Exa Prowlers/Stalkers within the hour, and if the same amount of Exa Prowlers/Stalkers were killed over the course of a day, you'd still get approximately 5-6 globals, over the longer period. One thing I have found with hunting events is that, due to the increased rate of the cycle, you're more likely to come out with a consistent or average return, i.e. there is less risk of a big loss and less chance of a big profit. I have no proof for that though, it's just an observation based on my own experience. It seems likely that crafting would work in much the same way. |

Still the information from Oleg was not known to me and it is good to know that now. Saves me some time atleast. So let us say that Myth is Busted.
Next Myth to test would in that case be if different areas have any effect. If 20 crafters had 2 globals - would the outcome be different if 5 crafters would be placed in four corners on amethera for instance? /Seamaster |
