Test #1 - Regular "new" bp
I made 415 clicks on Striped frote fabric texture bp, which I have maxed. I monitored Success, Near success and Failure to see what the success rate was. As we know, on the old style bp's the success rate for a maxed bp is about 42%. It has been assumed that the newer bp's have an even higher success rate when maxed. The results were: Success: 41.4% Near Success: 54.5% Failure: 4.1% I may not have made enough clicks, but the success rate sure is close to those 42%. Also notice the low amount of failures. My conclusion is that the success rate on the new bp's can't get higher than 42%, but they give you more near successes instead of failures as the qr goes up. The question that still remains is when you reach that 42%. Is it at 100qr or earlier? Test #2 - (L) blueprint I had accumulated a lot of Fine Frieze fabric texture bp's, which are (L). Had enough to do 455 clicks. The bp was maxed. Results: Success: 41.8% Near success: 55.4% Failure: 2.9% So it seems the (L) blueprints have the same CoS as the others. But I'm not so sure all (L) blueprints are the same. We know that some of them have built in globals for example, and these might be different in other ways as well. So this test applies mostly to (L) blueprints that produce low tt items. Last edited by Darkaner; 06-01-2008 at 16:28. Reason: Added test #2 |

When making "stackable" items, I also think that as the QR goes up, the average size of a "successful" stack of items goes up.
QR 0.01, average stack size might be 10, and when on QR=1.00 average stack might be 20. (Numbers made up). This is in addition to the fact that a better QR BP will have more chance of success. Easy enough for me to test. Some time Monday I plan on a long run on a texture. I can do a few 100 click on a 0.01 QR BP, and finish the run on my Higher QR one. Then we can see, or not, if My guess is right. |

I would look at number of pixels from the top of the bar (i.e. the amount NOT green) and not at raw QR (or are you max green already?). I get similar success from a lvl 10 metal engineer on ~QR67 Simple Plastic Ruds. I noticed less and less fails as i pushed from lvl 7.5->10 and QR 1->67 ...QR raises and skill gains.
But the nonfails could range from 5%-80% - and seems to rise as bar rises. And ofc noticeably more *10's, *40's at max quant. |
