Greetings!
I was crafting Jester D-1's for the hell of it and I noticed something weird. I started with equal amounts of Iron and Belkar (500 each). When the crafting run was completed, I still had 102 Belkar. Does Iron always get eaten up like that? Is it normal that one resourse gets completely used up while another does not? Thanks! |

in 'near success', you sometimes get some raw materials back, not only residue.
with 1+1 blueprints, it seems to be always the cheaper resource which you get back. ![]() e.g., basic filters (oil 2 pec + lysterium 3 pec) throw back some oil, basic tubes (melchi 4 pec + lysterium 3 pec) throw back some lyst. with blueprints requiring more than one unit of raw materials, you may get back any of them, |

As said it's the near successes that give you some back. A low TT resource is more likly to be returned so that's why you get more belk then iron back. Gained resources are put into the largest stack possible, and that's usually the one in the crafting terminal window. This also means that you did in fact make more then 500 crafting attempts, as long as you got some iron back from near success - just like hunting where a "200 ped ammo hunt" might very well be a "220 ped ammo hunt" but most are too lazy to calculate it.

I usually have the lower valued one left over at the end....

ofc, there's no rationale to use residue in crafting components, barring superstitions ![]() |

as konve said, the lower tt rssource is more likely to be returned on near success. cannot tell if there is a ~linear link "tt proportion / unit return" but it is very obvious while crafting textures for example, when one ressource got way higher tt value than another.
and regained ressources wander straight into crafting window, as long there was a stack of it inside before. try it out with residues, if u add residue to the window, even if its not used by crafting stackables, new residue is added to the window, not inventory. |

Makes sense... I appreciate the responses, guys. I am just tinkering around with crafting some low-end stuff at this point. I do have a Kesmek Bek bp that I want to enjoy
and that, I assume, is where residue will play a large role. Everything I am doing now is leading up to that. Making rings, springs and collecting the other parts (and residue of course). |

Oh and btw when u will figure what ore u get back and compensate to get a run with almost nothing at the end(exemple no belkar left) u will notice u get better result
![]() I myself started to figure this and ended my run on jester with 0 iron 0 belkar alot of time cause i had put the right amount. not to mention hof on last click, and overall better runs maybe its just me ![]() |
