I am a newbie crafter, and have been crafting Generic Leather textures and low-level components only. I need to ask the veteran craftes a few questions to make my efforts more efficient.
1.) Do skills or QR rise faster when the slider is moved towards Condition? 2.) Is the chance to gain a skill or QR higher on a success versus a failure, or about the same? 3.) Do skills rise faster on BPs with a lower CoS or QR? 4.) Does the CoS for maxed Condition ever become lighter orange or yellow, or does it always stay below the 8% mark? (reference to Eutopia\'s sticky thread in this forum)? 5.) If my CoS is already maxed for a BP at a low QR, is there any benefit to getting one with an even higher QR and crafting on that? 6.) Does anyone know roughly how much more you get from full successes as you move the slider? I noticed, on a BP with full CoS at max quantity, if I move the slider just enough to get it to around 1/2 what it was, I get roughly twice as much TT value of items from full successes. What is it different levels? 7.) Some people say crafting at higher Condition gives you more residue. But, do they get more residue because a greater proportion of the TT value is residue, or do they just get more of everything, or what? |

1: no
2: about the same 3: cos or qr does not affect skillgains. 4: max cos for crafting on condition is very red. 5: no. 6: uuuh? dont really get the question... but; the total amount of tt returned after infinite amount of clicks is exactly the same on both condition and quantity, only that return varies more when moved to condition. a "normal" hit on full cond is about a normal "mini" on quantity. never crafted anywere in between ^^ 7: since your sucesses are like a "mini" when crafting on cond you always get residue on a sucess. say you're crafting jesters, normally you'de get maybe 1 ped back per click, meaning you get a jester with 1 ped tt. when crafting cond you get fewer jesters, but when you do you get a full tt one + maybe 10 ped residue or so (atleast mostly). this resulting in a higher % residue of your total loot. hope that clears some things out GL |

2. I seem to get more green messages on failures. Haven't tested it though. 3. Don't think so. 4. It never turns yellow, it stays below a certain mark. 5. No. 6. This differs a lot from bp to bp. 7. A greater portion of the tt is residue. This is also probably different from bp to bp. Last edited by Darkaner; 08-07-2008 at 11:27. Reason: Spelling |
