Dropping BP's?

Over the past few weeks, I've cut back on my hunting and mining and pulled some stuff out of storage that had been there gathering dust. I went on a crafting run, I'd say, oh 3k peds worth of stuff tt. Have not figured my profit/loss and most likely will not. Not the reason for this post...

While I got a number of globs and a few HOF's I did not get one BP...not one. Not even a OreFinder 101, lol...not that I really want another 101 BP, but I was wondering if it was just bad luck on my part, no BP's dropping, or is this a general trend?

I craft simple ruds mostly (500+ped runs mostly) and got two VII prints in consecutive clicks a few days ago. It helps your chances if you do long crafts on the same BP... 3kped isn't really that much, especially if switching bp's, and ofc it depends what bp you were clicking (some bp's drop swathes of prints(large striped cotton, basic filters, generic leather texture), others very few per ped or per click (stone texture bp's)).

Looking at my statistics it appears that a bp drops roughly every 400-600 attempts on average. But you could easily go 800 attempts without getting anything and then suddenly get 2 in a row.

I got 2 L blueprints in 150 clicks on a level two armor yesterday. The armor i was clicking to get those dropped with 2 others the run before that. Lots of bps dropping for me

Ok here's how it works.

BP's are set to drop on successfull clicks, not near success or fails.

There has to be a set number of every BP in game (other than what can be bought from the Tech guy/girl).

So when MA introduce new BP's to game thats best time to craft for BP's as you will most likely loot one (if your crafting at the correct lvl).

I've also noticed in my crafting time that BP drops are time/machine related, i.e. you know a machine is sucky and pumping out bad returns, well the BP drop rate can be the same, some times the machine is good and drops 4 per 100 clicks other times your lucky for 1 per 500 clicks.

IMO - if your fishing (looking for BP's) craft on quatity, if you dont get 1-2 first 100 clicks change machine, unless the loot is considerably good and then well its worth hanging onto that machine.

I crafted MF-101 and OM-102 when the new bealchers and Vivo URL215 and up were being dropped. I only ever crafted on qauntity (condition is for mugs) and I looted a few neat BP's, I went back to these and one of the bleachers on lvl 3 when the dropped the Ziplex finders and looted a 2x Z25 (sold one for +200), 3x TK120 (sold 1 for +500 and 1 for +250). Now i'm back to square one more BP's in circulation = less being dropped.

Hope this answers some of your thoughts and this is based on mine and a few SOC mates oppinions.

I tryed some crafting yesterday and got 2 BPs on 300 clicks.

Im a compleet crafting noob i did textures for the first time QR 0 when i started skills needed for it 0 when i started. In other words as noob as you can be when you do something for the werry first time.

WRONG.

If you craft on condition you will have larger chance of getting bps on a sucess then on quantity, resulting in the same chance to get a new bp in every click.

However: Darker_star, you were probably very unlucky not getting any bps during that time. just keepat it.

Care to share your envidence of this?? I've seen and heard lots of people complaining they done k's of clicks on things and never got a single BP yet I know attachment crafters who profit alot just by clicking on quantity fishing for BP's.

I've also noticed myself doing 500 click runs on OM-102 that while I may get bigger loots on condition, I ALWAYS get more BP's from quantity.
