How much peds of paint should I use for skilling?

I heard that the more paint you use, the more skills you get, up to a certain point, so my question is whats the ideal number of peds to spend per clickto get the most skills for my peds? Also, I'm level 0 colorer, and I have both green and orange paint, can I use the green paint for skilling even though it recommends level 8? Last question is, do I get better skills if I spread paint evenly between three fields, or if I use it all in one field? Thanks!

I skill coloring now and then, but Im no serious colorer. I started to skill with a low amount of cans (20-30), applied this to one field of clothing and just kept an eye on how much skill I was getting. If I didn't get any skill after 3 attempts, I increase the number of cans Im using by 10 and have another 3 attempts until I find a good number of cans to be using relative to my skill level. I think your better off saving your green paint until you are level 8. Stick to the SIB and you should get the most out of your cans. But you can use the green paint, you just won't have a lot of successes.

I don't think how much skill you get depends on whether your clicks are successful or not though.

But the SIB does

Best choose a paint with a SIB on and use 200/paints a click.
This will give a almost a skill/click

Succes doesn't matter while skilling.

Thanks LeeLoo, so are you saying it doesn't matter how much the TT value of the paints is? Like right now I'm level 0, would I skill faster using 210 orange paint per click than 30 green paint per click?

I think the higher TT the paints have more skills you gain... but not sure im not a master in it

Indeed, the higher TT value, the better skills you get. So clicking with the highest lvl paint you unlocked should give more skills.

Most important however is that the paint you are skilling with has SIB (Skill increase Bonus).

So best check the paints you can click and count what would be the cheapest, also considering the return you get.

Most will use orange or brown cause Mark Up is low on that and is easy to get and some paints can be very expensive.

Remember that one green skillgain message does not equal +1 skill. It can be +5 skills or +0.2 or... anything.

The more tt paint you use, the more skills you get. Even if you only get one green message.
