Question: Why use duplicate bp's and bp books?

Ok.. I have recently started to become more serious when it comes to the crafting profession.

What I would like to know is, why people buy duplicate bp books for their duplicate bp's? Why not keep using the same ones until they are all QR 100% - not that they produce better results or anything - but is there an advantage of having duplicates and actualy using them?

I usualy give them away to friends or drop them on the ground around PA for noobs - should I keep a duplicate set of BP books?

Any information on this would be appreciated.

Good question. The only logical thing I'd see that working for is for (L) BPs. Now for the regular, unlimited ones, perhaps for selling full BP books for profit? Don't really know.

Ya, actualy I meant regular UL bp's.

I know some crafters that have for example 4 of the same BP book full of duplicate bp's - I'm just curious what the different possible reasons would be for it.

I see no advantage personaly.

If you craft a lot, you'll probably get a lot of common BPs. Instead of TTing them, some people prefer to complete a book and sell it for a small profit; also you don't fill up your storage .

That's what I think; I might be wrong though. Like you, I don't see any real advantage.

I have a shop and I sell some bps for +1ped through it... might seem stupid but i seldom have enough stuff to put on it, so the bps fill some of my space.... and every week i sell a few of them, so i can get 0.99 peds for each... not a lot but....

ah, yes, the reason why i have multiple books is to stock these bps at the times when i'm skilling, to cover me for the times when i am too busy to skill, so i just log on to replenish my shop....

yeah, like everyone said + theres a possibility that a certain bp that is currently tt food can stop dropping, and gain value, like basic servo once did, wasnt it like tt+30 or sumtin once?

edit: hmmm? can you extract a single bp from a bp book once its placed in there?, never thought about it, never needed to remove one?

This was actually what i was thinking of too, and yes, you can take out them bp's from the book, one by one :P

hi , i though that i read that you can not sell blue print books they are def not on the aution but perhaps you can sell pl to pl anybody know

You can sell anything person to person, but empty books are available at the technician.
