I understand the basic idea of blueprint books, as I have a Components II book with a few blueprints. But what's the difference between the I and II books? Do you need both or does the level II book hold everything that the level I book does and more? Are there any books that CAN'T be bought from a Technician?

You do need both... and each has different bps. The only difference is the L books. I think any L goes in to L book, but one book costs 1 ped and the other 5 so the more expensive one holds a lot more bps.
For the non-L books, yes, you need em. The second books mostly focus on SIB stuff, but some sib stuff might be in the first books too. Actually, if you do a lot of crafting, you might pick up more than one I and II book so that you can store bps you loot in them to conserve storage space. As you advance, your books get different looks to them - I think when book is 1/4 full, 1/5 full, 3/4 full, and almost all the way full as well as completely full the get different looks on the front cover. Take a look at the image in my sig for an example of that. |
