Chronicals of a Methodical Miner

Okay so i'm gonn'a start a diary.

About 4 days ago, I took a more logical step to mining. Now I don't have the details for those trips I am going to be posting, but suffice it to say I seem to be making money, losing little, or breaking even.
what I am going to do with this diary is lay out my mining days for all to see if this method pays off.

Method utilized: Carpet bombing, start in one location at minimum drop two bombs one of each type at maximum drop bombs of each type till NRF on each type in the same drop zone. Move 65 coords away from last drop and drop again.

Hopefully this will become invaluable and show some serious aspects in that mining methodically is better in the long run than mining erratically.

It was a long string of losses 100 drops in all before i finally hit the first Ares head 74 ped global. Later a nice iron 78 ped global. But I didn't just net globals see further. Many miners ran through the dome popping off probes and bombs while running suffice it to say none stayed very long.

Not a horrible loss. Could amps make this better or was it just a crappy day. I'll think on a crappy day for now. Perhaps I'll buy some amps and toss an amp run in and we'll see how that goes.

Just a quick post here. I'll be back to mining this weekend. I'm taking some R&R and doing some hunting blowing some peds. }:>) Rest assured there is more to come.

Quick update. I'm sorry to all who started reading this.

I've gone on a tear of hunting argos. I've hit my pistoleer graduation of 1900 or is it 1600 in pistoleer, so i'll be back to mining in the coming weeks.
I did do a little mining while I was hunting but it was all random hit or miss mining and not something that should be posted in this diary.
So check back for an update from this weekends mining.

Okay so today I plan to go home and start mining again.

To also further some testing. I'm going to be picking up two brand new 211's both ore and enmatter finders.

The idea here to start full and go till broke.

This should show a trend (if any) that as the finder gets more decayed finds are less often or smaller or whatever.

So I'll kepe you posted. Look for todays results tomorrow. (Providing nothing stops me tonight from playing.)

Sorry avid readers. I hit a block last night. coudln't get a hold of a Matter finder 211 (L) last night. But i've got a line on one through my soc mate. So the next mining log will be coming today or tomorrow. Definately will be one or two logs this weekend if I can't get anything out before then.

Well after some hunting hiatus.

I got back on the mining pony. Of course I neglected to do part of my start up for this run.
But any how. I chipped a good bit during my hiatus. };>)
So i'll list skills on the next run what I have (chipped up to) and what I earned.

Suffice it to say I chipped enough that on first drop I picked up Calypso ground assessment.

Also I picked up Both 105 miners during this hiatus yeah is me save decay there.

I have more depth so I'll be using a 212 (L) Matter Finder on teh next run. this run thought I'd give the 211 (L) a whirl see what i got for a comparison on the next run.
How ever no 212 (L) Ore finders to be had far as i can see. }:>/

My depths up to like 296 or so. I'll post more details on my items stats with the next run to so ya'll can see what i'm working with percentage wise depth etc.

So here's the run. Was an odd run. I started off Only getting one EnMatter strike all the rest where Ore till the last two of the run which I picked up two more EnMatters very odd to say the least. Most where size 8's to. Was a strange night.

Hello hello hello.

Sorry my avid readers. (Hmm well occaisonal.)

I did some mining two trips actually two weeks ago. but life got busy and I have yet to put anything in. Last weekend well life took over I coudln't play at all I know I know sucks ot be me.

Anywya I'll get my two runs up soon as I can. I think you'll find them quite interesting actually.

I did some odd runs methodical still but I did a run with TT finders 50 bombs 50 probes and the second run 100 bombs 100 probes I used the maxiest finders I could own. a ziplex tik400 and a ziplex z25 (I can use higher than a ju25 but it was all I could find highest maxed at the time)

The two ubah finders offered up interesting results and these runs were planet side.
The ubah finders were darn nice. ranges form 300-900 in depth and without having sold anything i think I was merely down 2 ped loss. So with markups it was profitable. (Not counting purchase of the dang finders of course.) So look forward to these two reports form not last weekend but the weekend before.
