I did something yesterday I haven't done for ... years? Well, I can honestly say that because I haven't been living in the apartment for more than 9 months ... soo ...

I shot down the pc rather early compared to what I use to do! I was tired and exhausted from a rough week! Took a shower, put on the py and sat outside in the silent night. And that was when I did it. I lit a cigaret! I don't smoke usually. And I never smoke alone (I'm what you with a fanzy word call a "party smoker"). I felt how the cigaret filled me up and made me relax a bit while thinking about life and were I am, were I want to go and how to get there! I only did this because the oldest wasn't home. I don't want to smoke in front of her and give her the idea that I'm riding on two horses. But Lootius, I really needed that cigaret!

While sitting there I look at a big tree in front of my balcony! Weird, it kind of looked sad - like if it was stuck in the city. I am sure that on a huge field that tree would have been bigger and stronger - at a place were its roots wasn't pressed from all sides by beton and asphalt. I'm also sertain that the leaves would have been bigger and more juicy and not that small and dry!

Sometimes I feel like that. The city with it's noise and smoke and overpopulation is keeping me down. I need air and space. some day I hope I can afford a little house in the countryside. If it could be near water it would be perfect. But for now - and probably many years still, I will have to settle with my apartment and my balcony with a view to a big struggling tree!

Just a little quick update from my job-interview.

I went for the interview with the worldwide - concern owner yesterday. And it went more than great! He was quite nice and real down to earth and the chemistry was there at once - and he kept on saying "you will be the leader of" and "When you are doing this ... " etc. He just smiled at my salery-demand (probably thinking "weee, I got this one cheap ") - but I still asked for more than I get now, and as I explained I would rather go up and know I'm worth every penny than go down because he might think I wasn't good enough.

He ended up by saying: "I can only say that you seem perfect for the job, you are very skilled, clever and look pretty - we might be able to use you in our brochures* HAHAHA ... but it is not only my decision, since the Danish director has the last word. I will though be sure to give you my best recommendation!"

Then he took the plane back to Singapore! I will know more next week and was promised that IF I get the job, I would be able to give my notice of resignation before the first of September!

I'm SO thrilled I can't even describe it! This is really my dream job - that was prooved yesterday when we talked more about what the job in itself will contain!


* and no, I'm not going to flash in the marketing material, but the company only use pictures of their own employees in all their brochures, website etc. and actually it is a real good selling point and give it all a very personal aspect The guy just had a good sence of humour!

Real life update - The 15th of August
Yesterday they called me again from the company. The Danish director is now home from vacation and he wanted a meeting same afternoon at 17.00. This was the third meeting at the company. It was very relaxed and I was sitting there with a huge smile most of the time. I guess the guy founded me weird for some reason, but he also seemed much more relaxed after a short while - at least he was laughing while tipping on his chair saying: I think it's so great you just smile at stuff we before considdered as problems". Well, truth is, I didn't see any problems at all. It all sounded perfect.

Only expectation I have is to get up in the morning with a good feeling in my tummy, looking forward to get to work. I don't have that feeling now. I told the director that. He asked about the salery and I said: Now your probably gonna talk about how stupid women are at negotiating their salery, but that is not the problem. I just rather wanna crawl up than down. It's something personal - I'm just way too proud to crawl down ..." He was amazed! Then he told me that he is 50 years old and he never ever asked for a wage - he knew he got what he was worth - and he always did! He said he took of his hat for that attitude, and if I would get the salery I asked for or even a little more, that wouldn't be a problem at all. I asked for paid internet connection - but also that was peanuts!

Then he showed me THE office He asked me were I prefered to work - and I told him that in the beginning I want to have hands on everything which is being done in the marketing department. That means I would prefer sitting in the same room as the girls. When I'm comftable with the way works is done and I know the rutines better, I would prefer the office. He replied that every leader should have her/his own private place - but that he perfectly understood my decision in the beginning!

He will have a meeting today with the concern owner, who will be back from Singapore just for today, and the girl whom I had the first meeting with. The next couple of days they have a meeting in Norwei, so I would have to wait untill next week to hear what they decide! GOD, I really hope I get this one. It's just so perfect for me. But since he kept all my material (all the education material I made for my old company - about communication etc.), I have a hope that they want to hire me

Just got a call. The director was as pleased as the owner. The girl from the company is gonna "talk" with my references now and only thing left is her making a contract for me to accept I don't dare being happy before the signing though YAYAYAYAY anyway .... *jumps*


My brain is too small
I can't keep my life clear in there. It's all such a mess. Were did my little boxes go with the labels on I used to have? How come all this crap ended up inside MY head (well, maybe because it's MY life ... ?) ... OH well - sometimes I wish it was possible to chip out in real life too ... Maybe I just need more stability in my life! Maybe the new job helps ... maybe it will clear up soon ... Life is FULL of "maybe's" ...

They are sending me the contract and if I have any changes, I have a meeting with the Danish director on Thursday. Hopefully I can sign the contract sooner and get it back Thursday to hand over the notice of resignation on Friday. The girl told me they looked so much forward to me starting - and so do I. I have been wondering if I'm able to take this job ... but then again, of course I am! It's piece of cake .. chocolate one even!

Other than that - weekend has been shitty. Had a fight with my mom Friday over the phone, which really really dragged down the spirit. Don't worrie - I kept the negative rambling on my LJ!

4 days until Peter will be here Love him so much it's hard to describe it. Missing is so hard though and ignoring it is even worse! Saturday we will celebrate my little girls b-day - she is 4 now and absolutely lovely. Yesterday I made a bunch of small plaits on her because she wanted curly hair *G* And today, she indeed got that. She was SO cute! And .. well, it's also my b-day on Saturday, but thinking about that just makes me even more depressed!

Let's have some happy thoughts, folks! I really need it!

I have been singing this all morning! It'a a song I heard first time when I was 16 or so - and suddenly it came back into my head. I found it on www.letssingit.com under the artist "Peter Schilling" but I'm positive that a very well known band from back then also played it. Anyone have any idea?

Funny how that brings back memories of drinking pernod-tea with LOTS of sugar (ewww, today it would be too sweet, I guess) and eating apple-pie with whiped cream ... and how I sang it over and over again, even though Germany is far from my favorite language (sorry all germans ).

Somehow it just fits perfectly in here, now!

My internet connection is shitty. It connects and disconnects all the time It did that since I got it (when I moved in in November last year). I called the company a LOT of times, asking them why I couldn't connect to the DNS server. "OH i see you here - and now I connected you again" ... again? Yeah, right! I could not even ping the server! Then I got bills from them were they wrote the wrong apartment number. Since it's about IP's on adresses I figured out, that since I in their system had the neighbors adress, that might be were it went wrong. I made them change that. Nothing happened. Then they send me bills which I already did pay once before. Yesterday I had enough and cancelled my agreement with them - and ordered a new connection from another company. They are totally unprofessional - and typical, now when I cancelled the agreement, they send me mails about how sorry they are and that they will get support to call me etc. Fuck them!

I bought a new tv the other day. A flat screen! I should have done that long time ago *sighs* The old tv is now in my bedroom but dear Lootius, what a mother fucking
