This post/experiment is highly interesting.

At first I did question the fairness of it, regarding the people you met along the way.

But after some thought, you are correct, to make a truthful report, you can only post as you see, as a new player, and what they experience.

I hope no-one acted badly towards you, as soon, they may find them selves squirming in embarrassment.

I myself, am now highly suspicious of a character I met recently, who seemed rather new!

We will see.

I am very glad to hear everything on the first day at least went well, when I read the introduction-article I wondered if you could get started, and if I was the one to help. And I was! Woohoo! Do make sure to read alices guide, since the very first thing after the contents, is about mentoring, and the very first 'What is a mentor not for?' tells you that a mentor is not there to give you any free stuff.

Hey! ..just want to say, the lack of advisor at certain times of day is quite normal..but as you now know..the most helpful "jot" is often there..as am i, shame i didn't meet you there myself..as for the weapon equipping advice..shame on him, i'd have given you the full tutorial, shortcuts and all ! .

Nice story, but I see you on the first screen with blurred out face, and the outfit is decayed to the bone. When you start now, is the outfit only minimum condition? Or does it start in full color first.

I got rid of my noob-suit a long time ago, and cant get it back (even when I logg off with all clothes in storage)

Oh I would trade that Jester D1 for an Opalo if I where you, the Jester is a bad weapon for noobs (even if they convince you it isnt)
If you start with Jester you can just as well start with MKII also.
You read it on the forum and maybe ask arround first if it jeopardizes your expiriment.

If you see yourself as wearing underwear only when you start, that is a bug, and restarting fixes it. When you see clothing, don't take it off, there were some problems with your flight here, and your clothes are completely damaged, and need to be repaired first before you can put them on again. If you do repair them completely, they will become bright orange, but you don't need to do this to be able to wear them again.

I must admit, I am starting to worry a little about that - part of this experiment was to see if a newbie can profit (or if not, how much does it cost per hour to play), with the intention of selling out at the end to offer "rewards" to the peple wh helped out along the way. However, if I dont graduate i cant sell the skills which is where the majority of Ped will be held.. i may have to revise my own rules... watch this space to see what i come up with


Regarding the naming and shaming of my mentor... firstly - please remember, I am only writing my thoughts at the time in these reports - they may well have come back and spent every waking moment with me since then.. you will have to keep reading to find out. At this point its a little early to accuse him (or her) of anything.
