I think this is still an interesting experiment, better then most tried. But frankly, it's not legitimate reporting.

If all you can do on your current deposit is drop a certain amount of bombs per day, and then your done. Then that is what is to be reported.

It's not the reporter's job to change the rules and window dress something be suddenly something isn't perfect. Those imperfections need to be recorded. If a deposit of a certain amount only brings limited fun, then it shouldn't be pretended otherwise.

I will not accuse Pinky of conspiring to cover up anything. I honestly don't think that's the intention. But if the rules are changing for the sake of "more interesting" evidence, then the article falls prey to the guise of "nothing is wrong in EU, period. Dissenters will be shot." I exagerate on the last part of course, but you get my point.

If the life of a newbie is boring as hell, with or without a deposit. Report it, because it's a problem, and it needs to be fixed.

Honestly, my own life of a newbie (I mean my first month on Calypso, since I'm still a newbie ) was way more interesting than the following 1,5 years. I love my every moment in EU nowadays, but today it's like a work. The favourite work, but still a work. I'm trying to be effective and eco, working alot with my disciples and there are lots of duties and responsibilities.

On the other hand, the first weeks were just an awesome careless adventure. I had no maps, no mentor, no friends, I hadn't been in any soc, my english was way more worse than now, I was just deserted in a huge unknown world. Every step, every hour in game were full of discoveries. Before I came upon this forum after several weeks of playing and got the maps I already did opened 4/5 of Eudoria's tps just wandering aimlessly and trying not to die too often.

Boring? Nooo. That was an extreme saturated fun, despite the fact I was absolutely alone. I miss those days. EU for me is like a favourite book, you can read it again and again, but never forget and never experience again the very first time.

I think you hae misunderstood my intentions for the rule change. The only rule i am altering is that originally my thoughts were to announce who I was at the end of the experiment on the last report. However, so many interesting and varied things have happened to me that I cant report because I am trying to keep my identity a secret. So, by announcing who i am, I can then report those interesting things I have been holding back up to now.
The experiment remains unaffected as the noob period is already over - all that remains is for me to write about it rather than play it.

Life as a noob can be boring i admit and i havent tried to "window dress" anything, or make it look rosey - I am being farmed for a mentor for one - thats hardley rosey. What I have been doing until now is making it more boring by not reporting the good stuff! That is all I am changing.
Your newbie life may have been boring, but mine (although having its days) has been anything but. Neither you or I have the experience to make a sweeping statement like newbie life is boring even if you deposit - its pretty obvious to me however that if ALL newbie life was boring, neither you or me would be here to discuss it today...

It has nothing to do with the fact I went out to the pub instead of finishing writing the next article.
