![]() Almost two weeks ago, the well known avatar Echo Echo Biatch posted a thread here on Entropia Forum inviting people to join her on a Beacon Mission. However, this was no ordinary Beacon, this was a rare 42 PED version and the people she was looking for were no ordinary people...One of Echo's requirements of running this beacon with her was a health level in excess of 200 - the 42 PED beacon has some of the hardest bots in Entropia in plentiful supply - Second Entities and Warrior 10's as well as others that can do up to 120+ Damage through Eon armor! So many of you will be wondering how a newbie like me is reporting on this event... well, after nagging Echo for a while, she agreed to let me accompany her team of ubers. My plan was to stand at the back and pray to Lootius that none of the bots take a dislike to me! ![]() The departure time was rapidly approaching, and Echo waited for her team to assemble at Orthos West Mound. She was a getting a little worried, two of the team had yet not logged in yet, so she started the IRL phone calls... Eventually, after some last minute substitutions, the power house of a team was fully assembled and ready to go, but not before several players passing our group at Orthos remarked on the number of ubers in the group; one observing "The Rig's open then?"... We teleported away to the coordinates and Echo activated the beacon to call the ship down. ![]() The ramp lowered and everyone boarded the ship - it was rapidly becoming apparent the difference between me and these ubers, as there was a significant difference in the speed the could get up the ramp!... still, it made for a great picture! ![]() The shuttle docked with the mothership and everyone leaped into action. I followed Echo's lead and stayed on the bottom level until the all clear signal was given. ![]() ![]() We proceeded to the next level, where the group were cutting down Second Entities like a knife through butter. I noted there were no signs of Drones to be seen, just Warrior Gen 10's and SEG's of various maturities. ![]() After a couple of levels, disaster struck, and Ogulak Da Basher was struck down by a lucky shot. The group closed in and Da was avenged. Echo leaped into action, powering up her resurrection chip and reviving Da - who insisted I report the fact he intentionally died and it was no accident... I guess he wanted to test Echo's resurrection skills ![]() The group made it to the top of the ship without any other problems, encountering a SEG 10 as the boss (that I was too scared of to get near enough for a picture!). Thankfully no Warlocks, and short work was made of the SEG boss. I picked up an interesting tactic here, where on the boss level all the bots on the right hand side of the room were left until after the boss was killed. In doing so, the group gained valuable time as the alarm (and timer) did not activate until they finally killed the remaining bots on this level. In doing so, everyone was much closer to the TP when the countdown started, gaining themselves valuable seconds! ![]() Then the fun started! The globals everyone was hoping for came in thick and fast. I still had trouble keeping up with these guys even though they were stopping to loot the storage containers, but still managed to catch a few being opened. Anyone in game at the time couldn't help but notice the globals spamming up the chat, but for those of you that missed them, here they all are!Da, making up for dying earlier, managed to secure the highest single global at 59 PEDs, securing a prize of 4X 5E Armor Plates that were donated by Auktuma who sponsored the event. The team managed to open every single container, netting a grand total of 1477 PED (after mark-up of items). Sadley no uber items were looted, but a cost of 1042 PED for the Beacon, still made it a nice total... As the ship exploded, we arrived back at Orthos and everyone traded their loots with Echo to add up the total. Sacklitch disappeared, and within a couple of minutes, the room lit up with swirlies as he scored a global - with of all things, a Second Entity... seems this guy can't get enough of his bots! ![]() ![]() Thanks to Echo and her team who let me keep them company on a great adventure! The Biatch of a Beacon Team! ![]() (Plus one!) ![]() ...and no, its not me! |

Wow nice article, looks as though the beacon was tons of fun
. No major problems it seems, and in the end you had fun and made some profit . When can we see a video? ![]() |

Thanks for sharing. I was in swamp healing when the globals started coming in and it was the talk of the camp for a few minutes. What a way for the noobies to learn about beacons

I was out hunting when those globals started appearing and I knew it was those guys! Gratz to the team! What a fun event to run. I regret that it will probably about 10 years before I am skilled and equipped enough to participate
