Nice story Skam, and nice to hear of a company doing something like this and showing a human face. So many of them fall into an 'us and them' way of thinking and it's a refreshing change to see that MA are't just living in an ivory tower.

Found in the \Entropia Universe\Data\sounds folder on your HDD.
To use the #499684 sound (or any other) as your windows shutdown sound, use the 'sounds' tab in the 'Sounds and Audio Devices' utility in the Control Panel and navigate to the sound you want.
I'm on XP, it may be different for Vista, I can't say.

FYI, I also write for and manage a newspaper (not a tabloid) irl. I know what a tabloid is that being said you wont find any newspapers that is completely free of smaller stories. you will find them in the new york times, the metro and the times.
