I think it will be the other way around... Microsoft takes $200 to $400 million out of Entropian Universe and then make a updated Game called "Vista the Longhorn Universe" which will need daily security patches to operate...

Horrible to think about it..

Yes, it is on schedule. Coming a few days after the release of VU 8.4 (which in turn is expected to come in 1-2 weeks).

Footnotes

A new EULA was distributed with the patch that added the advertising to the game.
Adverts were not visible in the UK version of game, but madservers were still contacted. This probably means that are simply no buyers for adverts outside of the US yet.
So whoever does not want the ads, can turn them off manually. It is obvious they can't expect the system to reward them.
