PE Namechange ? - Page 2

Stay calm guys, they most definately won't change the title for the game because it's allready know and recognised allover the world, and, like The Mighty and Wolf Grey allready said, it's probably for security pourposes only, so that no random people, let's not use the S-word, can register domains with a name similar to PE and get, let's just say, more hits because of search engine inaccuracy..

I must admit I get all kinds of eye rolls and giggles when I tell my RL (American) friends the name of the game I am playing is "Project Entropia"

We all could care less because we have come to know the name, but for a second think of a few other games, then try to throw "Project Entropia" behind their names...It just doesnt sound right

What was wrong with Entropia? :P

I think its the entropia part thats the problem, not the project part.

If the name will change from "Project Entropia" to "Entropia Universe" this is the final reason to quit...

Well they have been talking about expanding to the asian market. Maybe "Project" is a dirty word in japanese...

Well they could cut off "project"

but "entropia" just can't be changed

I cant see a real problem if MindArk change the name of PE...
Project Entropia or Entropia Universe? ...whats the problem?
I prefer Entropia Universe because it gives an open image ..."Welcome to Entropia Universe.." ..Unlike Project Entropia which as said above gives the idea of the experiment of someone....
Its only a name !
Everything inside will keep the same i think if they change the name.

Would you prefer MA to call it " Day-care center for adult" ? ...which is not false

I never really understood the need to change trade marks. As I see it, it will only cost a lot of $ in marketing costs because you need to replace all material and have to start all over to create brand awareness.

That said, I don't really see why any players would feel so pasionate about it. Sure, we're used to Project-Entropia, and as such I would prefer to keep it at that, but that's just because it somehow "feels right". With all the other things that can be critisized, how anyone can claim that "I will quit if they go from Project Entropia to Entropia Universe" is really beyond my grasp.

What's in a name? It's neither hand, nor foot, nor any other part belonging to a man...
