I agree with this! I too think that Entropia Universe opens up much more possibilites just in the name alone. It tells exactly what PE is about - a universe of possibilites to create your online life. And I am sure, that there will be much more in it, than we know now. And "project" really indicates something "not really finished" (we can discuss in another thread if we still believe its a project or not *G*)

I am thinking about the video ads in the game with Mark costabi - the professor. But especially the video with the number 513993. What does she say? Something like: "Is project Entropia just another online game. No it is not. It is a virtual Universe. What is it exactly, a virtual universe? Well, you are about to find out!"

Who cares if they change the name? We, as players, know what it is - and new players will just know it from the new name! I have a feeling though, that the sites will be used for something special and maybe NOT for the main site! time will show

The game name isnt that important to me personally..

Although i must say i think that Project Entropia is the right name.. MA likes the idea of speaking about PE as a virtual universe, not a game.. Also PE is constantly evolving based on the comunity response ( or not ). Also its concept its kinda unique and new.. therefore, in my view, we are all participants of a project, our project as participants in a virtual world, and a project of a company that keeps saying me that whatever happens in PE its not their responsibilty

So i agree with the project part, makes imo, newcomers feel that they are part of something new and evolving..

As I see in many rebranding in the world market like LG from Goldstart and so on it can be reasonable for a lot of reasons, but ... I do not like it.

May be MA want to change the engine and a marketing face both to be a more maturity and as and answer for markets challenge from game world giants ?
