Interesting. Personally I find the entire idea of purchasing rl items ingame as exciting.
But, of course it's more competition for tailors. I empathize completely, although it should be said that the clothing looks quite different from the crafted clothing. So at the very least the tailors still have their style of look that only they can provide in game. Nonetheless, it is more competition. And unlike other ingame professions, it seems that the melding aspect of real and virtual is one in which the tailoring business is more susceptible to fluctuations and competition. We'll have to see, I suppose.

As to the prices of the rl Vexed clothing in game- I could see that they might be more expensive indeed- it's a form of luxury in this sense- if someone does not have the ability (or desire) to spend, say, $100 irl on a shirt, but they happen to have their 'money wrapped up' in game then they might drop 1200 PED for it without much of an issue. Like most major things in game, I think MA, Vexed, and the community in general will have to see how it pans out, and then I suspect content and prices would be adjusted accordingly, as they are irl.

I dont think the prices on the irl clothing is that bad.
Go to any of the quality-clothing shops here in norway and that'll be normal prices for a jacket. If a item isnt mass produced then it will be more expencive, but also more unique Same concept as in tailoring ingame

I hope we will see more nice designs in the shop aswell
And I really hope for some EU-merchendise soon...

Based on the fact noone has posted on this thread for an hour, combined with the fact I am currently waiting on a 15 minute download - can i assume new oxford is open for business??? I thought it was in a few days or so based on MBs post...

I'm with the tailors in this, but i don't know what is the agreement between MA and the artists.

Are they paying for having their items selling ingame or are they just sucking money out of the game?
Because if someone deposits to buy some clothing, it is one thing, but if someon takes money from the loots and buys a rl object, well bye bye loot pool. MA ain't paying those items for us, it is going to come from the players.

Make them craft them their own clothes and spend loads of money skilling up until they can do it.

I also haven't seen any ingame items, so there is no competition for the tailors atm.

Can someone clear one thing up for me:
When we buy an rl piece of clothing do we get an virtual counterpart?

For me I think I see a bit of a problem with the scammers ingame. Seems a way for them to get peds out of the game (buy irl items then sell them on ebay etc) i hope MA plans to investigate everyone who wants to buy irl items.

For me I looked, I seen what oxford had to offer and i might be back to check how it progresses but what it offers isn't for me. Atleast it looks cool.

If you know your mother in law visiting you, just hang one or maybe two deer sphinx pictures in every room. They might also good to scare the kids off on helloweeen or gift it to your boss showing him what you really think about him
