EU Windowed Mode

HITS EU!!

The latest VU (8.7) brought with it a loss for Entropia participants of being able to access various useful tools on the internet like Mytwopecs, PEAuction and the PE-Wikicharts. This prompted an outcry from the community who questioned yet again why we weren't able to run EU in windowed mode.


The story started shortly after the last Q&A by Marco where he stated that if there was a demand for a windowed environment, they (MindArk) would implement it. In response to this, on the 14th October 2006, EU player Recoda set up a poll on this forum to determine the demand for Entropia Universe to run in windowed mode.
The results were clear, over 85% of those who took the poll wanted to be able to play in a windowed environment.

On the 8th November 2006, MindArk surprised us all with mini VU 8.7.2 - at the top of the list of the latest enhancements... "The Entropia Universe can now run in windowed mode." This quickly prompted a very positive response from the community, and Marco has been quoted as saying: "You wanted it, it was easy to implement, so now it exists."

For this reporter, the change is excellent. After logging on to check the usefulness of the new windowed mode, I was able to do my reporting from the field! Yes, that's right dear reader, I wrote this report while sitting on my sofa in my apartment at Treasure Island City.

I think I speak on behalf of the majority of Entropia participants when I say thank you Mindark for listening and acting on our pleas!
