Some might recognize his name from countless globals and HoF's. Some might recognize the name itself from the book and movie Hitch-hikers guide to the galaxy. -Do you always have a towel with you? "offcourse, you never know!"

"Just need to get rid of my last ammo, then Ill be there!"
While I wait for him to finish, he globals. 110 ped on a Bristlehog, probably shot in LA-8, Desert Ranger's own landarea. When he finishes, I meet him in Fort Ares. A quiet place, probably so quiet because its without the highest necessity of todays urban calypsians -the auctioneer. We greet, team up, and sit down on the grass. He's looking good, wearing his own labeled clothing, the newest unlocked skin -Atrox. "I just have Araneatrox left now" he says, but without bragging.

In real life he's 41, a male, swedish, and claims he's not good at english. I wouldnt say I agree with him. "it was my brother who got me started, hehe. He showed me the game and I rushed away to buy ADSL and a MasterCard just to play PE" His baby-brother is known as 'star' and are also a Desert Ranger.This was in april 2003. Since then he's been a known inhabitant of Calypso.
"Since I started out with computer games in the 'stoneage' I have been dreaming of a game like this! Its much more then a game, its a lifestyle. Allthough its kind of hard explaining others why I spend so much time in front of the computer when I live alone with 2 kids in my own house, hehe.."

Loot-o-clock!
"Excitment" I have just asked what have kept him going. "And friends ofcourse. I hunt alot, several hours a day, and have done that all my time in PE, but its still exciting the few seconds just before your rightclick on that dead creature!" -Do you keep count? "no, dont count loots in that way.. I used to take screenshots of all globals before, but not anymore.. It takes too much room on the harddrive ....j/k." And I wonder, if we had a system where every global was counted on every avatar, who would have been on the top of the list. I dont know, but I bet Mr. Dent would be pretty high up! So whats the best loot he have had? "Hard to say, best in tt value would be one I had around 3.8k, but the best loots have been small globals. Shadow harness male several times in 60-80ped globals for example.."

"I start out every day by looking at the HoF list, not to see exactly what mobs are hoffing, but to see in what part of the world" -So you think loot drops by the area? "Used to be that way . If I notice bad average loots in an area I want to hunt in, I leave it for a hour or two, and then get back. I guess the loots follow some kind of timecycle."

Being an Elite
Even in Fort Ares, no less then four people have came to sit down by us, greeting starman, greeting me then leave again. None of those who come just stand there or run away. One of them say "Wow! This is the third DR I've seen in a week!!" Starman is greeting all of them back, smallchatting and being nice. I know alot of people idolize the elite's. "Well, Ive never asked to be a kind of idol, in fact I dont spend much time in towns anymore. Since I always want to treat people the best, and I have a really hard time leaving the town again, you know. If there are alot of people around, it usually means alot of questions, and it take time to answer all of them before I can get out in the fields hunting again."

But he's not just a hunter. He's a tailorer too, and the highest skilled aswell. "It was actually my oldest son, he is 16, who wanted to do something more then hunting. And I thought 'alright', then I dont need to sell all the material I loot! But I dont do much tailoring at the moment, since people dont buy clothes anymore. Sometimes it feels good to take a break from hunting and spend some hours by the craftingmachine though, hehe" I feel like putting a neonsign over my head and remind him about my passion for clothing, and I do so, but I realize I might not fit the norm when I find new blueprints for clothing more exciting then unlocking a new skill. "Hehe I know, Im glad there are still people like you in the game. The game needs more girls."

-Have you ever been scammed? "Depends.. I did lend out around 1000 ped to a person that quit the game. And also lost a DAR 9300 the same way one time. I learned a lesson though, and its not going to happen again!"

Most Memorable Moments
"Hard to choose... I have lots!" He's quiet a little while, but its a thinking-quiet. All through the interview he's been easy to talk to and not one awkward moment. "One of the most fun moments was when me and Lady spent a whole day killing Warlocks in one of the bot-attacks! Another great moment was my first uber. 457 ped on cornundacauda with an Adjusted V1 in it! At that time loots was not as high as today, but whe you go a high loot it was almost every time a good item in it."

"Buying my Mod Merc was like Christmas-eve for me. I love my gun!" And you can see that he do, if you scan him. Great Master Laser Pistoleer! Beat that! "I just unlocked quickness, which suprised me since I hadnt been skilling any defence, but I suppose thats because Im a pistoleer, always tanking the mobs and getting alot of hits."
For the future he wants Society storage and lending system. But will he still be here then?

I do believe in my 2 yrs playing this game, that I have never yet seen Mr. Dent.
I have seen pretty much everyone else around (as far as uber hunters are concerned), but never Starman. Have even chatted to Anda a bit and some others....

Only reason I know Mr. Dent exists....is all the globals and hofs !
