I think it means lowering the maximum damage by the skills. I mean if you have done 28 dmg as maximum with 1x0 axe with your skills maybe you now do 25.

Yeah, that's more or less the only thing I could think of aswell... because I doubt they would ever increase the maximum damage, or change the stats of a weapon into the better... So I guess this could be a really negative feature, especially for low-skilled people, unless it's possible to increase the stats to the better somehow, but I guess that would be bad for the economy...

hmm its not that nevative, then the rich people cant be uber players just by bying big ass guns for a hell load of money.. they need the skills to use it and they can see how far from the real dmg they are...

I guess there's a bunch of different ways this feature could work, but if it works like I think it will, it'll add an extra field in the stats section of the weapon.
One field tells you the weapons maximum damage and the other field tells you the maximum amount of damage your avatar is able to do with the weapon.

Currently, even a noob avatar is able to do the weapons maximum damage, even though he won't do it as often as a veteran player. But with this system, his maxmimum damage would be lowered, aswell as the economy.

But I guess we'll just have to wait and see...

Actually I appreciate that, being almost at lvl 6000 in longblade its annoying that U hardly ever do damage thats in the last 10% range of the max dmg. Using repaxe 1x0 I should always do full dmg, well - I never does. and with katsuichi honor/valor/pride/determination its *pretty rare* I do in the 10% range...

So proberbly (hopefully) for me that change will mean for me - that instead of the last 10% is rare it will be normal and it will be rare I do the lower 90% dmg. Well I dont expect that, as it prob will cost MA more money and they therefore might not have as good a money machine on me then

What I would have hoped for was more item drops, any of that Marco?

This is the mining/crafting update. I guess we soon will have another update with more stuff. This year, it seems that updates have been focused on bug fixes mostly.

It is more skills then LB that count. Also I am sure that you do more dmg then a new player. It seems that average for average player is between 55-70% and it is all about balance.
