First I think its a MindArk-figure who appered in front of me next to the teleporter in Fort Ares. The blue and white coat set is just like the ones MindArk wear. Is Marco here to witness my interview?


Ofcourse not. Recoda is just making a entrance.
"It suits the blade" he says, and equips a shortblade I assume is his beloved Enblade-11. Always smiling, friendly and very helpful, Recoda is one of the people I myself are very happy to have in this game. He's not only known as a meleefighter, he's also a walking database of information. And he's only sixteen! (turning seventeen in a week however.) Thats a slap in the face for all of the societies that dont allow people under the age of 18 into the society because of maturity.

Axe 1x0 Change
"I guess Im one of the very few who is acctually happy about the Axe 1x0's being fixed" he says and adds a "sorry" to it. "But Im kind of glad that I can go out hunting without knowing that I could have killed the creature for 5 peds less if I had been using a axe. I hope the loot will go back to steady, normal rate now." Alot of people's favorite weapon has been ruined by MindArk clearing up a bug of the axe doing 5 electrical damage. -You think this will send the axe-generation into retreat? "Well.. the 2x0 axe is still a great weapon, so I think maybe people will use that one instead of the 1x0 axe, due to the better economy. However it is more uncommon, so I guess it will increase in value now" Recoda himself is more of a knifefighter, the survival enblades are always ready. He claims longblades are too slow for him. "I became interested in melee weapons back in the old days when Dan killed Hogglo's with his shortblades. I even bought his Improved Survival 7 when he left" -The one you managed to TT? "Eh... Yes. Well, what can I say, it was my fault only that I lost it. But Im so happy that I managed to get it back" he says and shows off a couple of shiny, white pixelated teeths in a huge smile. "I dont use it as much as the Survival 11, but its like a symbol of me being a meleefighter."

Melee hasnt been a very fashioned profession, except for the axing, and now the enthusiasm for that might have turned aswell. "There are alot of things that are possible to do in order to improve melee weapons. As of now they have a considerable lower damage pr sec compared to ranged weapons since they are not amplifiable. They could create features that would allow the user to increase the reload, as the skills increased, this would allow us to get into the same range of dmg/sec as ranged weapons.
Or they could simply create melee amplifiers, which I dont think is very unrealistic. Strength should also affect something more then it does today. Perhaps it could increase the damage or reload, not with much, but depending on the blade it could increase."
In SWAT's 25 000 Ped Atrox it was a unique roman ram knife. In the recent Thorio-event there was a Unique Legend War Axe.
"I think its great that its been focused on melee weapons in the events lately, they added the survival enblade 12 aswell! The only thing Im disappointed at is their extremely low economy, but I guess its good for landgrab"

Database

"My old society CMC, Church Of The Mushroom Cloud really is a huge part of why Im still playing Project-Entropia I learned alot in that society, and people like HeadWar and Sarah were the main reason why I became interested in gathering stats and exploring the game. And thats also one of the reason I created the PE Database."
He thinks its good that MindArk isnt giving away all information about everything, such as how skills and weapons work- "I think its good in one way, as its keeping the community together, with this I mean that we have to spread around information and talk to eachother, as one person couldnt possible test all weapons and tools ingame. I guess alot of people think it would be great if we had the reloas, decay rate etc in the stats page of the weapon, and all possible information regaring the skills on the skillpage. I however think its better that we have to research and find out for ourself. It makes the game a bit more realistic."



Recoda hasnt always been a knifefighter. Since he started up in november 2002 he's been doing most of what PE has to offer. He was also the first to unlock the colors Brown and Green. "I was skilling coloring at the same time as Sarah, both of us were skilling as much as possible to be better then the other one. The competition ended with a secret deal tho" he says and blinks.

Tips
For those who wish to start with melee recoda recommends using longblades "Longblades with a decent economy is alot more common then shortblades with decent economy. There is currently only three regular shortblades with good economy, with an addition with the Dagger of Doom and Despair. The Survival 5ME isnt that good compared to axes, and the survival 11 and 12 and the Dagger's usually go for 1000-2000 peds."

"I doubt I'll ever leave Project-Entropia" he says "It was the first MMORPG I ever tested. Ive tried a few others but they bore me after a week. This game however I can keep playing for years."
And the community needs people like Recoda. They are our virtual universe answer to scientists. Always eager to learn, to explore and share.

Great Interview Skam! I think one of your best works yet.

Recoda, finding out you're seventeen is a slap in the face! I feel like my life has been a waste of time! You're a much more productive teenager than I ever was.

Cool ideas They could make rifles less effective at closeranges, requiring avatars to switch to HG or Melee once the mobs get close. =)

dang Skam your interviews keep getting better and better i like your interviews more and more there awesome i like them a lot thanks a lot to you and recoda and dang i didnt know recoda was only 16 :/ i remember when i used to trian with him lol sometimes he would break out his survival enblade 10 and kill me when i wasnt expecting it in the ring lol and then he would say "hi raven :P" lol those were the good ole days but anywho that was awesome

Very nice interview! And I must say it's a great assett to have a friend like Recoda. He is one of a kind. He would probably be the reason why -I- wouldn't leave PE.
