Just to add to this,

I've been hanging out there quite a lot this last week (yes I'm procrastinating) and have noticed there seems to be something of a hard core "Unofficial Calypso Welcoming Committee". They arn't mentors, just people who er... like sitting on boxes(?) and I've really enjoyed hanging out with them.

The MA guides are very pleasant too and always say hello. On the whole I think MA are really onto a good thing with this personal touch.
