Jamhot. Is there anyone who reads this forum and has not heard this name? Not many I bet! Jamhot has been busily promoting his new Entropia-based record company for over a month now, a new service to compliment the already established JamhotTV, the first in-game TV company. Wednesday’s Who’s Who got the chance to delve a little deeper into the man behind Entropia’s premier video/audio entertainment mogul./B]

Jamhot Jamhot Daddyo is a jack-of-all-trades in real life, much like his Entropia alter ego. “I am primarily a painter and decorator, I have been a market trader in the past but am now a mature student studying Graphic Design. I have also been a flyer designer and promoter of all night parties in my younger days, taking coaches of people from up north, down south to the good all-nighters.”

Now 32 years old, Jam has been playing Entropia for close to two and a half years. Next to his love of the Jamhot media company, hunting is his vice. “Initially I played for a couple of weeks, left for 5 months then came back and started vigorously trading. It took me over a year to deposit and actually start hunting. Now you can't stop me! (well my PED card can).” Jamhot currently has a pro-standing of 32 in Rifle and is trying to break the 60 barrier in Agility.

The name Jamhot Jamhot Daddyo comes from a track he liked when he was younger. “It had some random voice over on it proclaiming the track Jamhot! I liked it. Beats International - Dub be good to me. 'Daddyo' is just a cool beatnik 'hey man groovy' kinda saying.”

Moving the discussion on to JamhotTV, Jam tells me how it all got started; “Basically I started trading from my apartment, I never left it, except to make ads for the global screens. (You might remember the SEX ones ) Everyone knew exactly where I was whenever I was in-game, so people used to just come and hang and chat. I thought, "Wouldn't it be great to have a TV or some music". At the time I had an Ad Screen showing the global participant content and always thought it would be cool if colonists could have their own TV. With the advent of (PC) signs I saw lots of artists utilising it and after a while realised although expensive, 'video' could be used too. Unlike the Art scene though, JamhotTV is completely free to any colonists that have the correct Display. At the moment I have around 10,000 PEDs worth of (pc) video content to give out. We have Weather, music, entertainment news and comedy! The initial JamhotTV wasn't the best quality but all clips uploaded now are of the highest quality and look great even on a BIG Megaview screen, now I’m concentrating on Quality over quantity. Anyone is welcome to go check out the Weather reports and stuff @ Billton Tower 1, Apartment '3G'.”

Noticing a logo, “Wicked Awesome Films” on a TV screen in Jam’s apartment, I was curious to know what they contribute. “Their amazing videos. They, like most of the people I work with, are trying to make it in the business. Like myself, they aren't backed by any big budget stuff, but they don't let that stop them! (They are currently on Comedy Centrals radar!) So expect to see BIG things from them soon. I am happy and honoured to be working with Wicked Awesome Films guys (and everyone I work with), they're the funniest guys on Youtube.” I must admit, watching a fight between two presenters, one of whom is trying to sing a Christmas song, did raise a chuckle!

Following the success of JamhotTV, Jamhot Records was launched, where music made by Entropians for Entropians is available to purchase inside Entropia Universe. “Anyone is welcome to submit tracks and if they cut the mustard I will back, upload, promote and release them to Entropia Universe. The commission structure is a 50/50 split. I do not take back any upload/promotional costs from the artists, so they start earning as soon as their first track is sold, whereas it will take me a load of sales before i see anything back myself. Tracks are 20ped each! Cheap as chips as my mate David Dickinson would say. "

Finding Jamhot's ventures utterly fascinating, I was curious to find out what he has planned for the future. “Publishing… and a new machinima series based in EU that will start filming once we get our facial emotes back *nudges MA*.

Jamhot is also taking part in next year's WoF for Team England “I have the role of Strike Support Vice Captain. We will be helping the main team with scoring off mobs and having a blast whilst doing it! And serving Queen and Country *salutes the St George flag!*”

Due to the workload JamhotTV and Jamhot Records takes, he normally can be found at JamhotTV HQ Billton Towers 1 Club '3G'. Commenting of the impressive décor, he is quick to point out that his apartment was recently voted Best Crib in EU. “My apt Hoffed 500ped!”

Unusual for me, I leave this article's closing comment to this week's interviewee as he sums up his involvement in our universe far more eloquently than I…

“I love EU. I love the amazing people in it and am very optimistic about where the universe is going. I truly believe this is just the beginning and there is sooo much yet to come! *damn I sound like an EU advert* But yeah these are exciting times and it's good watching our universe develop, in terms of the new and vibrant cultures that are emerging away from the normal hunting/crafting and mining. I am glad to be a part of shaping that new culture too.”

Ahhh I remember those early days of Jamhot trading out of his apartment He has tons of armor sets all laid out, Seeing the first "dance floor" in his first apartment was just the beginning of what is now Club 3G!!

For those of us that know Jamhot or have been up to his Kick Ass Club 3G will know he has a passion for the ingame Paintings. I remember spending a good hour in the new Art Gallery with Jam just after it opened and how excited he was after buying is first beauty

I was fortunate enough to meet Jamhot early on just as he was getting his society in the works, along with Jam I also made 3 life long friends from his society OH!! and the ExTrEmE NaKeD FeFf Hunts!!! What a blast that was back in the day!!! Nothing but you and a group of your friends out in our undies running around with opalos tearing up the Feffies at Camp Pheonix

I could go on all day about how great Jamhot is and all the great times I've had over the last 21 months... but I have to get ready for work

Glad everyone likes the article, Jamhot certainly is a deserving subject of WWW. He contributes a great deal of time and effort to make everyones experience of EU a better one.
