It seems that MA will operate in a training and advisory role. The description of the Chinese planet sounds very little like the EU I know.

Tell me again how that's like EU, and has planets we can go to?

Come to think of it, I didn't see anything from Marco about there being MOBS on these Chinese planets...

Maybe the Chinese planets will be planet-sized Malls?

I guess there's no reason to visit these chinese knock-off goods shopping planets. I can go to a real mall, just down the street. I can already order anything I want - either on-line or by telephone.

i am SO not interested in where this is going. perhaps it will become something good, but as far as i can tell with all the new addtions this game is becoming less and less sci-fi and more and more a nightmare. none of the new stuff plopped down into entropia makes sense in the greater context of the game, new swiss? wooden fuckign boats??? looks straight out of WOW or some other knockoff. and these banks? or this new chinese planet? i don't play 2nd life for areason. what the heck is happening to this game? i am so confused as to what i am even doing anymore. could they at least finish ONE storyline!!! OMG what do they do all fricking day?

The Chinese planet. Having to make the Kessel run in 5 par secs and dodging the blockade ships to smuggle in my goods and avatars out of planet China to Calypso. Ohhhh what fun that would be............OH WAIT we still don't have space flight

Hmmmm back to reality I think it will be interesting just to see where all this goes and just how cohesive it will be with the Entropia Universe vision MA has which now includes a Chinese vision as well.

Who knows it may be the best thing to ever happen to Entropia Universe. Its possible with a greatly expanded developement team we could see many great improvements to EU. It just depends on the melding of this Chinese planet and the rest of EU plus all the people they employ in China. There very well may be some grand visionaries in China waiting for something like this to come along and let them shine to the rest of the world.

So I will wait and see just how it will impact this little MMO who is all growns up now or so it seems.

What I worry about is it turning into a Vexed or Oxford Professor deal where its implemented and never updated.

well i did think it would be somthing alot less like what we know from the original press release, but then MArco stated there would be a single Universe and it seemed like maybe i overinterpreted. MA does seem to want to give us any info on the plans, no road map, no vision. maybe thats because we're not really target fro new "planets".

I now can foresee that eventually EU will no longer be "necessary". Seems it was all this time merely a means to an end, a stepping stone to get to where MA as a corporation Really wanted to go. It all makes sense... the reason for the EULA being written as it was...To be able to easily shift gears when the time was right, with no mess. Just pure cold, calculated business. A global commerce platform.

On the upside however, MA may consider it profitable to sell EU to another company, when the time comes to make the jump.
Then it's a win-win. They get to where they want to be professionally, and we get rid of them once and for all and hopefully get a better-run game out of it.
