Your First Day: Lesson 1, Basics
User Interface: Control and CommunicationsThe first thing to do is to learn to control your session and communicate or interact with other players. Do these next few things first. The rest of this guide assume you can do these things.
The Very First Things to Learn
Set the interface for 1st rather than 3rd personPress 'o' to get the Options screen. Press the button in the lower right corner for 1st Person. Click Done to return to normal mode.
Camera zoom with 'z'Press 'z' a couple times and see how the view changes. Note the Crosshairs that appear when you're zoomed all the way in.
Toggling between Crosshairs and MousePress SPACE and note how the Mouse either appears or is replaced by Crosshairs.
Getting In and Out of chat windowPress ENTER and note how the focus moves to the chat window so you can type a chat message. Pressing ENTER a second time will send the chat message and resume normal control. Note also, that if the focus is on the chat window, you can press ESCAPE to get out back to normal control operation without sending the chat message.
That's the beginning. Refer back to the above items anytime Mouse, Crosshairs or Chat is mentioned.
Help and OptionsPress 'h' for the Help screen or 'o' for the Options screen.
Other Help In GameIn game, Societies can be of value in organizing activites, making contacts with people, and so on. Society Chat can be particularly helpful to new players. If a member of a society, any other member of that society can be contacted anywhere in the game by using Society Chat. Prefix a chat message with "/s" so send the message to all society members currently logged on.
Mentors can be very helpful as well, but beware. If a mentor is not helpful, don't hesitate to kick the mentor and look for another one.
Web SitesSeveral websites provide guides such as this one, charts on weapons, armor, and so on. Also some provide information on current prices of items recently on auction.project-entropia.com

Economy, Part I: What to Do in PE?PE is more of a virtual world than a game, and as such, the activities revolve around the economy. You essentially enter the world and work to earn money and make a living there. Three professions are directly supported and one is indirectly supported. You can also deposit money into the world of PE, usually with a credit card, from the real world.
What Makes it Up?SweatingCollecting "vibrant sweat" from animals is the only completely free method of making money in the world. Sweat collected is sold to other players who, by crafting, then use the sweat, along with other materials, to make other things.
Hunting, Mining, CraftingHunting, Mining, and Crafting are directly supported by mechanisms in the world. There are weapons for hunting and tools for mining. You hunt for loot, and mine for resources. Crafters use them to make things that they themselves sell. Crafters may make weapons, mining equipment, furniture, clothes, a variety of things.
Trading as an OccupationSome players trade to make a living, often gathering small quantities of loot and resources into large quantities and selling it to crafters for a profit. This can save the miners and hunters time since they don't have to find the crafter, as well as saving the crafters time since they don't have to find the resources.
