How do you use a weapon/tool automatically, without clicking/highlighting an object?

For example, if I want to shoot something repeatedly without the green box surrounding the mob, how can I do so? One can sweat a mob, remove the green box by clicking once outside the box, and sweat it again by pressing "8" again. How can this by done with guns, swords, etc.?

Back to the noob section for you I think.

If I have understood what you are syaing correctly.. then all you need to do is hotkey the weapon/item.


Ok i see you have the understanding of hotkey by your "press 8" statemnet for sweating.

On my keybourd i would press

G for keybourd map
L for edit box
(if i wanted to hotkey an action)X for actions library
(if i wanted a weapon ect) I for inventory

Then drag the item icon/action icon into the keybourd map.

assign the weapon/tool to a hotkey.
aim at target in aim mode.
switch into cursor mode.
click into chat/hud to remove any green frames from targets.
press hotkey.


problem is you can barely follow moving targets but it's enough to land some shots into a mob since it will run straoght to you.

hotkey.. or equip tool and press space to allow u the free look so u can do it by clickin left mouse button.. but this all used in first person.. which is better in hunting.. ofc u can use it in 3rd person but u dont really know where u aiming..

lol i checked the hunting basics from ur page.. it says.. "You can just do like in any first person shooter. This way you will shoot a lot of air."
everyone knows the hit rating in fps with free aiming mode makes u hit more often than with the autoaim... and even gives "better" range to ur weapons (in other words.. u can use the max range of the weap).. and it really makes it possible to hit moving targets

Did u read the top of the guide page where it says that these guides is no longer updated? Anyway, draging healthbars works for most of the PKrs so I think it's OK to use this way of hunting. (starting to get of topic)

I thought that was just to keep track of health easily of your opponent, and being able to select them to see where they are, when hidden behind stuff...

Surely no PK:er uses the healthbar and 3rd person mode to actually fire?

you are a lot quicker yourself and a lot more accurate on moving targets if you aim yourself.

I use healthbar when I'm really lazy and don't care much, and is just smacking small critter around with something melee... For everything else, 1st person is king

and yes.. its so they can track ppl easier... coz when a greenie appears the healtbar turns active so u can see that should u run away or chase it down :F

and coz sometimes when im hunting... i use the fp until the enemy is infront of me.. then i scroll down and start looking for fruits while keep on shooting... and thats when i sometimes drag the healtbar so i can see how much the mob still got hp.. so i wont be shooting few shots to air when it dies.. but no autoaim at any point...

As I said, of topic Regarding my guides it doesn't matter if they are wrong or not since I'm not planning to update them in the near future anyway. If you as a PKer TP close to the one you have dragged your healthbar of you can actually start firing while the screen is white etc so 3rd can be usefull here. If I hunt in thirs person I can easy switch between several targets if I use autoiam and IMO it's all about rolling dices. I haven't seen any proof that 1st is more accurate than 3rd when hunting more than subjective opinions, so I stick to mine (even if it in your oppinion is wrong). I drop this matter now. Think it's better you start a 1st or 3rd person hunting thread instead, maybe add a poll.

I think the guides will help the thread starter to understand how to equip and use his tools and weapons and that was the point.
