It may help if you provide a few basic details here instead of via PM.

Are you looking for sponsors of in-game prizes, or EFD? Is this going to be an event created through the official system, or an unofficial event? Are you putting forward any prizes of your own, or are you just relying on the generosity of others? Also, who is the "friend" that is helping you to organise the event?

Sponsoring an event involves a great deal of trust in the organiser, so anything the organiser can do to increase that trust is beneficial. If you are trying to keep the details of your event secret to surprise the community later on, you will have to decide the balance you want to make between secrecy and trust.

Another way to gain trust is to have a strong reputation on the forum. If you have spent time and effort building a good reputation here, it implies that you are unlikely to risk that reputation by cheating your sponsors. It is possible to gain trust if you have a weak reputation, but it does make your job a little harder.
