Zynchion Citadel Event Area

Can anyone tell me how big the event area at Zynchion is?

I am planning on creating an event at that location, but need to know the area the event zone covers.

If you TP to Zynchion you can hit map and see a highlighted green area, this is your event zone.

The event area is quite large for Vote events, but the area for PvP events is much smaller. If they haven't changed the size of the PvP area in the last few months, it will extend from the door at 10823, 9586, 20 then through the building before ending on the roof at the boundary of the metal grid and road way (10836, 9609, 43).

The rest of the event area is non-PvP. You may be able to stand on the non-PvP portion of the roof and kill the people in the PvP area of the roof to earn event points, but I have never tested it.

I'm trying to organise an event for our members at the academy and this seems to be the right thread Sorry if this is classed as a thread-jack.

What happens if a non pvp event is organised here? Is it possible to have a hunting event? If it is where do the MOB's come from as the whole town seems MOB free?

I see the event looting/winning rules are the same as on Amethera but the size of the area and lack of MOBs has me confused.

That's actually a good question. When I was putting mine together, I thought the same thing, although my intention was a PVP event.

Not sure though where they would bring the mobs in from. I know the Event Area isn't big enough to encompass the outter areas where there are mobs.

Will be interesting to see.

Perhaps we should just make a wee itty bitty event out there just as a test.

Nobody ever organised or taken part in a hunting event here? Or Atlas Island? Anybody?

I have been told it is only possible to hold a hunting event on an Amethera Land Area or in a set of CND Biodomes. I have never tested whether it is possible to create a hunting event anywhere else though.

I organized a hunting event few days after the Event-VU in Zynchion, I realized that was impossible to do it few hours before the star so was too late to explain and contact and refund all the partecipants... scary but I managed to do it with the help of some soc mates and friends that for 1 hour pulled mob trains in Zynchion for the fun of the hunters in the event area. It wasn't a success but a lot of fun anyway. I would suggest to do not repeat it.
