Was thinking of having an event for a "uber" weapon as a prize. What would 40 or 50 people be willing to pay for a ticket for chance at a weapons that goes for approx 25,000 ped??

If you already know that the winnings will be 25 000 PED and that you will sell 50 tickets, then why did you bother asking what people might be willing to pay?

Good luck selling 500+ PED tickets.

Lotteries aren't allowed in Entropia, so you might end up loosing more then just PED.

There won't be any risk of being locked if the event is held through the official event system. However, I think this type of event will be difficult to pull off. Many event organisers have to work hard to gather enough participants to cover the cost of 500 PED prizes.

If you are serious about offering very large prizes in your events, I would suggest getting some very firm commitments from potential participants. Otherwise you are going to be left with a very big bill.

A bit harsh really, If you assume he's on about using the event system.

Personally I wouldn't pay anything. I know Id have no chance of winning. People who think they will win are more likley to play of course. So chuck in 20 of the Uberest Ubers, and they might play. Although there's always someone better, unless your called Skalman. There'd have to be more to It than just PK/skills/equipment. Because most people already know this winner.

You need to think of something really unique... I have no Idea, but then again Its not my Idea.
