Any suggestions for this years meeting?

NaNsterdam last year was a great succes IMO, only the parking there was way too expensive

C'mon dutch ppl lets make this year work out too

Ok, since no-ones gonna make suggestions Ill do it...

Date: June the 21st (Saturday)

Location: Scheveningen (Beach)
(This is easy to get to by public transport, also parking can be solved)

Time: 13:00 until we get sick of it
or the beer knocks us out

As the weather (nearly always) is nice in June we might as well meet on the beach this year
Have a few beers on terraces and kick some balls on the beach, and have a few swims when its too hot

If anyone has a better idea, let me know.

Its 25 degrees here now so Im off to test the water already!!

any chance of meeting up the night before and have a few drinks? and sleep over at a hotel closeby or something...


and ofcourse, if your not from holland but would like to come you can! we might have to make it a bit longer tho...midweek anyone? (i dont mind, im up for anything :P)

This sounds interesting, but just did London, am doing Bristol in June and the TDO camping trip in August, not sure if the wife will allow me to go away again.................

None Dutch people, please note, getting around in Holland is EASY, everbody speaks English. Cheap flights from loads of airports now and good public transport.

I'm all for another a new meet, But

Have you already contacted Kyndig about his plans ?
I know he said he wanted to make NaNsterdam an annual thing

The date itself could be ok, though should me more like a long weekend Fri-Sun,..
More people outside the Netherlands will make the effort to show.

Also I think, that just cause off the cost of parking amsterdam should definately not be discarded.

Why go to amsterdam by car for a meet anyways?
-Public transit is good (probably cheaper then car, lol for sure if you include parking)
-Night trains (if needed) from amsterdam goto most major cities
-You cant drink & drive
-Get a hotel for the weekend !

Furthermore a weekend Amsterdam will attract more EUplayers outside the Netherlands then Scheveningen

I dont want to diss your idea, I worked in Scheveningen for a while so I know my way around.
But its just the beach and some bars where in my opinion Amsterdam has alot more then that.

And if we do want to goto wade in the sand and splash in the water, Zandvoort (Amsterdam@the beach)
But as I said before you'd need a longer weekend for that.

The beach sounds nice, frankly I don't care much about the location as long as it's near the mentioned places above.

I always travel by car, it's cheaper for me

And like Stinky said, most Dutch people are able to speak english, if you don't feel comfortable just stick with someone you know that can translate for you hehe.

Im quite sure Kyndig wanted to make it annual meeting ill talk to him IG asap.

Besides I do think amsterdam might be the best choice and we meet up there early morning and the go to the beach for the the day and come back in the evening.
There are just more hostels and cheap hotels in amsterdam I recon+there is a lot more to do so people make it a real vacation.

Parking costs you shouldnt go by car is all i say or park outside the ring where its free parking and then take a tram 10 to the center.

So there is loads of way''s around that!

Great idea,

Scheveningen or Amsterdam, its all a 2,5hour drive for me.
So now getting my GF to let me go on our first weekend of vacation together

You could all come to Maastricht and we invite all the belgium people also
