Portugal Meeting - By popular demand

So here i am, as promised, opening this thread.

In the recent London meeting many of us talked that a Porto, Portugal meeting would be great, having alot of the guys/gals that went to London mentioned that they would come if i set it up, so:

Il organize a meeting in Porto, Portugal no problem. Just need to know the best dates, check poll.


The first date is the best one, becouse its in the middle of the summer and u wil get about 30, 35 degrees here, have beaches arround, riverside where the Porto wine is made, i can arranje some visites. and the city os calmer becouse of the holidays. BTW prices are much more lower than in England

Place to Land: Porto Airport
Alternative is Lisbon Airport and catch the fast train to porto (3 hours distance)


if you land in Porto You have subway to the city.
Its easy to use and there are soem passes that you can use caled "andante".

Its important to know when you guys will be arriving, so i can set up the fun parts when the most are here.
For the few here before the "Mosts come wil be only bitches and beer; jk


Some planning:

This is where will be our HQ.

Meeting in the 14th August 12.00 in "Cais de Gaia" (means Gaia's Peer)

I will try to make something that can call the atention of all that there is a PE meeting there.

We will hang out there till maybe late. So all have time to arrive.

(Theres a nice new restaurant opened there that charges 8 euros for all the food you can eat lol they are so focked)

Gais is the City in the other side of the Douro River, other side is ofc Porto.

Gaia is also the city of the Porto wine cellers, right at 100 metres of our HQ strats the road that has all the major Porto Wine Cellers. (Aint i cool)

In this place and all along the road you see on the pic#1 on the right side theres alot of bars and open air caffes.

Hotel info: Ibis Hotel charges 47 Euro for 1 or 2 persons per night.
Like in 1 km there is another that does that for 41.
In The middle of Gaia City tehre are alot of hotels.

15 th August is holiday here in portugal

So we can take adavnatge of some sightseeing, proly the weather would be great.

At night we wil have a party in a disco.

16 saturday

15 or 16 pm we wil meet to do an activitie related to PE

later we wil dinne and eat soem of portuguese popular food.

Sunday is for rest

If I can make those dates I will but there's some personal issues to deal with first (I'm flat broke basically )

I might have sorted something out by then but hard to say right now.

For me any date is good, I'm sure Ogi will kick me out of bed anytime when it happens

For those who must consider money spent I should only say that a meal would be around 15€ per person with (good) food, drinks, desert and coffee included.

And that's a top notch quality meal...

Most restaurants charge 6-10€ for a meal.

Expect hot sunny days and warm weather.

Let me show us guys "england menu" cost here:

Subway type of sandwichs+drink+plus chips+from 2.95 ro 5.00

Hotdog 3.00

beer from 1 (0.33 bottle) to maybe 2 depending the places.

Macdonalds menu 4.50

malrboro 3.15 or 3.75 (fixed price)

a nice meal on a great restaurant with great wine deserts etc wil go to 18 a person max

what prices you need to knw know?

Ohh i know . a full 24 beer cans cost like 12 in a supermarket
if its bottle like like 6

Best look through whats left of my wallet and see if I can afford a cheaper weekend than london..... yep.
