A hunting/mining competition

As investigators try to determine the significance of the Orbs, it is becoming increasingly clear that the Argonauts are somehow connected. We need more research! Calypso officials are calling on hunters and miners to help, by going into one of the Argonaut heartlands to see what they can find. Rewards will be given to the colonists who are most dedicated to the cause.


Land Details

The action takes place at Argo Heaven (Outback Land Area 41), which is the land area that contains the New Switzerland TP.

There are three separate spawns of Argonauts:

• Low Maturity in the western part of the land, east of the TP
• Medium maturity in the south-east
• Hih maturity in the north-east

YOU ONLY NEED ONE GLOBAL TO HAVE A CHANCE OF WINNING A PRIZE IN THIS EVENT – SEE BELOW FOR FULL DETAILS

Rules

1. The event runs from 2008-05-31 00:00 until 2008-06-13 23:59 (MA time).

2. There are 2 separate competitions, with their own prizes, each lasting for one week:

• 31 May – 6 June
• 7 June – 13 June

3. Points are scored by posting hunting or mining globals and HoFs in this thread. You may post a maximum of 5 globals or HoFs for each day of the competition.

4. For the first global in any one day you score 8 points. For the second you score a further 6 points. The remaining globals are worth 4, 2 and 1 points, so a maximum score for any one day is 21 points.

5. Screenshots must be posted within 24 hours of the global/HoF.

6. To be valid, all screenshots must clearly show the location, timestamp and the global text/value in the chat window. The date and time shown must be within the timeframe given in Rule 1.

7. Globals must be scored within the boundaries of Argo Heaven (Outback Land Area 41) and must be either an Argonaut or a mining global.

8. Teams are not allowed in this competition.

9. If two or more people tie on points, their total value of globals/HoFs posted in this thread for that week will be used as a tie-breaker.

10. All scores are reset to zero at the end of each week’s competition.

11. The judge of this competition is Oleg Oleg McMullery. In the event of any dispute, Oleg’s decision is final.

12. We reserve the right to disallow any entries in the case of suspected PhotoShopping or other foul play.


Prizes

For each week of the competition two prizes will be awarded.

The first prize of 300 PED will be awarded to the player with the highest total point score at the end of each week.

There is also a bonus prize every week, a real-life EU T-shirt courtesy of www.EntropiaOutfitters.com. One winning global will be chosen at random by a modulo function based on the UK National Dream Number, as announced at http://www.national-lottery.co.uk, on the Wednesday following the end of the week. The winner of the first prize in the same week is ineligible.

The more globals you post, the better the chance of winning the bonus prize, but you could even win it with only one global!

There are argos of all maturities here, in 3 separate areas, so you should be able to find a spawn that you can handle OK.

Hmmm I was there recently because tp-run to New Switzerland and what I can remember is a hunter in my back.

Some larger ones may wander about or were dragged... but seriously - just East of the TP are Scouts and up to Guardians. Those are not TOO bad, but watch for the Guardians. You might surprise yourself out there

A bump for the argos!

I needed to get the tp to get there and it took quite some time but its really worth the ride got a 221ped and a 107. Is this the right way to take the screens?
