EVENT ORGANIZATION - Step #1 - Collect Prizes

Hi All!!
I'd like to organize a GREAT event with Prizes that would worth it... and need feedbacks and ideas from all of you.

The idea is to have as a prizes great things... I mean something like full shadow or valuable items. For this kind of event I naturally need the help of everyone in order to collect enough money (or items) to create the prizes pool having the ticket at a low cost in order to have much people participating...

So then here's my idea...

The event will be a hunt event... (I think it's the best way to give points)
Pvp or not Pvp? (Pool will tell us)
Mobs you'd like to hunt? (Pool will tell us)
Fees (pool will tell us)

I'd like to give a prize to EVERYONE accordingly to the number of subscription and Prizes collected.

The winner will also get a certificate board.

This is the very first step, but I'd like to make this event a Historical one and I think if everyone give a hand... it could be...

The very important thing is that I need Donations because I naturally cannot afford to buy everything

So.. If you'd like to donate something, don't hesitate to PM me or tell in this thread.

You can donate stuffs (such as skins, sweat, weapons, armors parts, ammos or anything you like) or money... up to you... I will manage the rest.

so you are trying to collect over 150K ped, buy a full shadow or another uber item and then give that away in an event?

Very strange idea and very doubtfull you'll find enough ppl that just gonna give away that much money.

And next to that there the 'trust' issue, that you won't 'run' with 150K ped (=15K us$) once you've collected it.

Don't wanne burst your bubble and your intentions are probably good, but I'm afraid it won't work.

No offence, but like the previous poster I think you're over-estimating trust and generosity in EU with this one. Best way to host an event is to announce it once completed and ready to go. Be in control

I know that in EU people doesn't trust in anyone... BUT I'm quite optimistic. Naturally, I know that I'm honest (as many people around here) but other people don't... anyway, I try it, and if there's no "donators" for the event, I think that I can do something nice also with only 4000 - 6000 peds

The other point is also that I accept any kind of stuffs... so, you won't lost much if you give 500 hides

Services are also welcome such as haircuts, beauty services and so on...

I take this thread open until my return of vacation.... then, depending on the result, we'll go ahead.

Right, if any of the 700k accounts would give 100 hides to me...you get the idea.

Maybe you should start smaller events with your 4000 ped 1st.

Asking for full shadow, by collecting peds from "thousands of players(?)", just to give it away as price...

The idea might be nice as the result would be a lucky avatar with full shadow. :p

But, this has been tried before and before and before and before and...even before that.

Sorry to say but I can't see this ever working. Mainly there is the 'trust issue' with wanting people to donate stuff. You basically say no matter how small it doesn't matter but each lot of 500 hides soon adds up.

Also, what happens if you manage to purchase a set of Shadow for an M ava and the winner has an F ava? Are you going to purchase 2 sets before the event or try and purchase a set after the event to give to the winner or do you expect the person to have to sell it to get the one they need?

If I were you I'd start smaller and maybe use the ped you've already donated youself as prizes

How this game could become a community if anyway no one trust no one?
I'm trying to create something that would group dozen of people and know each other... and build a trustfull relationship...
I tryied to create a mining and crafting event, but EVERYONE was only thinking about other players could Cheat! I think that if people think first to cheaters, means that first thing they will do is cheating ... just amazingly sad....

You get a uber Gift... so, just sell it and buy a female one ....
I think that people really is never happy... I have my arms that are falling down! And I really realize that we will NEVER build something consistent with this kind of mentality!

So then...
You give me 100 peds ... (I could not go really far with this)...
Imagine I got money for something and I never do it... this is a Theft!
So, this thread is a testimonial and everyone could report this to MA... and I think there is a way here, in game and to MA to lock my account and take back everything...

The things that makes me really sad is that before ANYTHING else, there is only mention to my potentially "dishonesty"...
