SZ Saurian Massacre - August 2008 - OLA 39



This first edition will last from Aug 1, 00:00 to Aug 31, 23:59 MA Time. Each objective awards points, whoever has the most points at the end of the month will earn the right to brag. In addition there are prices for the top 4 scorers. Point schedule reads as follows:

4 Points for a global on Atrox Dominant and above
2 Points for a global on Atrox Guardian and less
2 Points for a mining global
1 Point for a global on Atrax, any maturity
any single loot with 333 PED or higher will award twice those points.

Prices:
The Winner receives 333 PED + Geotrek AL15 Taurus (L)
The Runner Up receives 333 PED + Breer P5a (L)
Third place receives 333 PED
Fourth place receives a free haircut by Sorg

ofc globals only count if made inside OLA39. To receive points please upload a screenshot at our Events section. Make sure the screenshot includes time and place stamps (press U and P before taking the shot), the Avatar Name and the global/HoF-message, otherwise they can not be accepted. Rankings will be updated as often as possible, at least every 2 days.

SZ Orange Monday (bi-weekly) - OLA 39

Furthermore, for those less patient and enduring we will host a 90 minute event every other Monday at 21:00. Event objectives will be alternating - check schedule for details. Tickets will cost 5 PED (6 PED - 1 PED TT) a piece and are now available in one of our shops (PA Mall Floor 1 Shop 5 or Sakura Koufuku Block A Shop 3) or between 20:30 and 21:00 on Monday before the event at the landmarker from one of the crew. Don't forget to register at the landmarker before 21:00 MA Time.

2nd place Ziplex Z20 OreSeeker (L) OR Ziplex Tik200 MatterSeeker (L) + 2k ME

Your website says that the Atrox go up to Guardian, but in this event there are points scored for Dominant and above.

Has the maturity been increased?

Good luck with the event, I might give it a shot myself.

Actually we let the maturity go down a tick, but for the August event there will still be some higher maturity Atrox left i guess. We check the LA regularly and will update the information on our website as soon as we know it for sure.

A good question / suggestion came up which i'd like to answer here for everyone to see:

Q: When everyone uploads screenshot on your website exclusively how can i be sure you count points correctly? I'd have no way to know for sure.

A: We have now installed a detailed list/gallery (there's a link on the bottom right to it in the Events section "Details on August ranking"), where all submitted screenshots will be visible. For now its an example dummy-list but as soon as first live-shots come in, it will be the real thing.

our best guess is that ppl are collecting screenshots and will upload them somewhere at the far end of august. we didn't anticipate that - on the other hand the suspense adds a new dimension to the challenge - don't it

we'll see if we fix that in future competitions, but we don't intend to change the rules during a running contest.

my only fear is that our servers will have trouble handling 7.000.000 screenshots being uploaded all at once on Aug 31st at 23:59 ... just kidding
