The Master of the Fruits Sommer 2006

Hi all!

Though the first resonance of the idea was not great I anyway start a new event:

The Master of the Fruits Summer 2006

I thought about an event everyone can participate, and one of the few things everyone can do in Entropia is gather fruits!
It doesn't cost you anything, they can be found everywhere.
So here come the rules:

1. The event starts at 01.06.2006, ingame time, it ends 01.09.2006.
2. Gather as much fruits during this time as you can.
3. Take a screenie with date. If someone drops a fruit and picks it up again the difference will be seen on it.
4. At the end of the time, give me all the fruits you've gathered and send me the pics by email.

Reward: the reward for the guy wich gathered the most fruits will be all the fruits all participants have gathered.
So, I can't say how much it will be, but let's say 20 people participate and gathered 200 fruits in average. So the winner will get 4000 fruits. Maybe a kind person wants to sponsor this event and pays a good price, about 100 PEDs can be earned. All you have to do is to take a screenie whenever you find fruits. Well, and if you're not the one with the most fruits, you haven't lost anything, as it didn't cost you a PEC to gather this fruits

Yeah, that's it so far.

If someone has any suggestions before the event actually starts, be free to post.
Ahm, another thing. Maybe some estate owner likes the idea and wants to sponsor an add?? Well, probably not, but I had to ask

Well, there are some problems with the rules of the event I'm affraid.

For one, how do we know you give all the fruits you got to the winner and not only a part of it?

Second, how do you know all fruits given to you, thus entering the contest, have actually been found by the contestor? If I find fruit, press C, make a screenie and pick it up, the amount I get is random from 14 (lowest I got) to somewhere over 100 (cant remember exactly). So if I find 50 spawns (50 screenies) and give you 5K fruit you can't prove I actually found it, or bought some of it to try and manipulate the contest.

You also say that if you don't win, then you haven't lost anything either. I also don't agree on that part. If you find $100 on the street, and then 10 mins later you get robbed, did you lose $100 or not?

I do like the idea of a fruit contest though, but with a different set of rules. Perhaps if you have all participants press C and P, then someone interested in the math behind spawns might be so kind to donate a few peds for the one with the most entries.

When the contest has ended I post a list with all participant and how much fruit everybody has gathered. So the full amount of fruits will be posted and if anybody saw he gathered more fruits than I posted he can reply and post his screenies as a proof.
So it's ensured I don't screw you.

Well, that one is easy: the amount of fruit found can be seen in the loot window. So, first pick them up, press the buttons, than take a screenie!

Well, that is everyone's own point of view, sure.
I mean, you don't have to pay an entry fee you have to finance yourself by depositing or any exhausting activities. You get it without any effort. But you're right there on a certain level.

nice idea.

only downside is the prize is all or nothing...that you have to give away all fruits. but thats okay like u mentioned, fruits wont cost cash to collect.

Is there any method to finding fruit? I've only ever found it once, just randomly in the middle of nowhere.

Btw, as the contest is over its half now, would be cool if you guys who participate write me a PM and tell me that you take part. So I can publish a number of participants and estimate the price, so the contest will become more exciting...

Ahm, and please don't post something like "I allready found 6000 fruits", it will ruin the contest and I think it's not true if you post it...
