Someone is able to show their skill with the weapon correct? Something to do with showing up by their name? Or is it something else now?

I know that the scanners USED to show it, but not sure if they still do or not.

Definitely information I'm going to need when this thing gets off the ground.

This may be a silly idea, but what if the weapons were supplied for the fight?

Grade the levels by weapon used, rather than skills of the players? There would be an equality of weapon then, for example class repedge 1.0 class for axes or similar?

It would be a fight based on skill with each discipline then....not on the ability to purchase better kit?

By supplied, of course I mean loaned just for the event.

I'm also wondering what effect mindforce and things like heal chips would have and how they can be monitored? I had a dead simple idea for a sporting event too, but if implants can't be monitored or limited it wouldn't work as they would allow unfair advantages. I can't afford and don't have time yet to even think about what I aim to do...but since the game can get a little stale from time to time especially when you're new....I will get round to it soon if it's feasable.

+rep for this idea, it may take some time to get right but it could become a fixture and provide some great entertainment.

I like the idea of supplying weapons for the event, but then it becomes yet another trust issue. (they would have to trust me to pay out, and I would have to trust them to return the weapons).

That's fine for those who win, but what about someone who is a SORE LOSER, and decides he is not going to return what was loaned.

Which gives me three options:

1) Increase the fee to accomodate the added expense.

2) BYOB (bring your own blade -- lol) and just have them make sure it's the SAME weapon for their class.

or

3) Have an all out. Just base classes on agility, hp, etc., and let them fight with whatever they are best at using.

There will be an in ring referee. Mindforce is a dead giveaway. I am unsure about the policy for the use of first aid and mindforce, however, at this time.

Showing my interest by posting

I think option 2 is the way to go. And to make fights interesting for the audience, only chose weapons with low damage. It's not much fun when someone uses a combat enblade-12 (158dmg) and the fight is over in 1 strike

that's a good idea. AND it's more easy to obtain. a TT weapon makes things interesting, is "disposable" (if you don't want it anymore after the match), and would make the fight last longer.

Now, what do you folks think about mindforce?

Would it depend on the class?

I was originally planning to do this in February, but I am going to wait. I'm gonna see what ideas you guys come up with and we'll make it AWESOME before we put it out.

Also, is the idea of selling tickets to WATCH "the Fights" feasible to some? That was the plan on how to PAY PEOPLE TO FIGHT, WIN OR LOSE. It's really what I want. I want to create a fighting association much like the Wrestling Federations we see on television (only a lot more family friendly, without the cursing and sexual references, etc.).

Divide it into diffrent HP classes 90-120,121-150,151-180 etc

Let the challanger select which weapon to use (as long as they both agree on using the same, I doubt fighters with +200 hp wants to grind TT gloves on eachother, u can basically just move around and regenerate alot of hp, making the fights very long (and bigger chance of CTDs etc).

Thanks for your input. The challengers picking the weapon wouldn't work. For one reason, they won't know who their opponent is until the day of the match.

I think we MAY have to go for weapons division as well, unless there's a way to pick one that NONE of them are good at.

Also remember, they have to bring their own weapon to the match. If we waited till the match for them to choose weapons, the event would be lengthened quite extensively.

Does the Trade Terminal sell gloves? Boxing...that is an interesting idea

We could have rounds that way...certain lengths..

I'm liking the info I'm seeing here. I need more input.

Ideas, thoghts?

Oh, and also more thoughts on the separation of divisions? about how far apart should the hp be (if we all feel going by hp is a safe way to do things) in each division?

Mice suggests ABOUT 30 points. Does that suit well with everyone?
