FoF IX... C.N.D-DAY!!!!

Yes, ladies, gentlemen and the confused, it's that time again.... to whip up the frenzy that is the Festival of FirePower, a six-hour destruction run where big teams use big weapons to kill big amounts of mobs, hungry for the globals that give them the points to win.... and this time it's IN SPACE!!!!.... and there's an APARTMENT up for grabs.

FoF IX... C.N.D-DAY

Saturday February 10th

Starts: 4pm (16:00) MA In-Game Time.... Main CND TP (CONTROL ROOM)

Ends: 10pm (22:00) MA In-Game Time....Main CND TP

As always, THERE IS NO FEE... Just bring some NICE BIG WEAPONS (opalo's are forbidden, in screenshots at least!): the idea is to bag as many globals as possible on the mobs on the list for points that are totalled up at the end.

This time MOST of the moblist are a little easier than previous FoFs to give anyone and everyone a shot at winning. Best tactic by far seems to be kill everything as fast as you can...

Champions: Those who finish the hunt with the most points. This title is currently held by GloryHounds and Friends.

This time, courtesy of Mr Jon NEVERDIE Jacobs, the team with the most points by the end of the hunt will each get a free ticket that will be drawn for a FREE APARTMENT!

Heroes: Any team who manage to global on 6 or more different mobs from the moblist during the FoF will be eligible for the Heroes title, which has only once been won. This title is currently held by GloryHounds and Friends.

In the event of a tie in either title the result will be decided by both teams entering Cape Corinth boxing ring for a last-man-standing battle.

Moblist:

SnarkSnot:.......................1 point

Sabakuma:.......................1 point

Merp:...............................2 points

Prancer:...........................2 points

Tripudion:.........................3 points

Atrax (Guardian and below): 4 points

Atrax (Dominant and above): 6 points

Trilomite:...........................7 points

Cornoanterion:....................9 points

Daspletor:.................15 points

HoF's: ...Double points for that mob.

ATH's: .....Double points for entire hunt.

Note: for the Heroes title, differring maturities of Atrax only count as ONE mob for the 6 required.

Trilomites are scored high purely because of where they are kept

How To FoF:

Form the biggest team possible (max 12) from your Soc/Friends/Folk who turn up on the day (there's always enough for a team). Make sure the team name has FoF at the start, as in FoF GloryHounds, FoF Hunters Extreme etc. This is important for scoring purposes.

Gather at the start point and wait for the start to be shouted out.... you might want to find me at this point and tell me your team name.

Kill, almost mindlessly, with not a thought to economy or stealth, for 6 hours. Hopefully you will only global on the mobs on the list, because any others won't count.

We want to see as many teams as possible for this one.... any Societies wanna make their name.... put your name down.

So, put aside Saturday February 10th for FoFFing....

In case someone wishes to take me on their team....

Edit: Might even go mader than MKIV, feel free to pm me about your team if there is any free spots, and whats required to join up...

As a rough guide, look at your heaviest weapon, after amping/whatever, then multiply the max damage by the max hits per minute. If this is more or less around 3000 you'll be using the sort of things we use on a FoF. (Bravo's, Foxtrots, Determinations, Maddox IV's and Frean Delta's...the odd Urban Stalker etc) anything with a bit of ooomph. An Amped Mk IV just about cuts it.

Btw Any skill level, this ain't about common sense, it's about punching above your weight

And....Profits are possible but expect to blow the lot

Hmm along with a A103 the MKIV does exactly 3000 dmg/min, well max dmg at least... Guess that along with a good amp it would be even more. Maybee I should check on some other weapons though, dont wanna do least dmg in the field...

Hmmm... if, like previous FoFs, we see several large teams going up.... might be an idea to work something out as regards flight availability on that Friday/Sat? I know some will all ready be in space but we are possibly looking at around 60-100 folk going skywards in one morning lol, could be tricky.

This has GOT to be one of the best organized ongoing events around ... I did the first with the Spider run and had a BLAST ... one of the BEST fun times EVER, even though my ass was splattered all over the place a few time (ok, more than a few times), BUT ... got a good pic storyline out of it.

I was invited by my sweet friend Hurricane to join the fun once again to provide coverage and do a pic storyline, but this sounds like so much fun I think I'm going to round up my soc mates so we can do some blastin' of our own.

My soc can make the rounds in the domes that have the list of acceptable mobs and I can still get coverage that way too ... enough for a pic storyline.

I'll be there in all my purpleness!
