Hello there,

since I got bored of sweating, then hunting, then trading, I decided to become an event organizer, much more fun for everyone.

Here is the plan :

I Hide somewhere a specific item (no commercial value, just to proove you found it). The first who finds it and bring it back to me receives 15 PEDS CASH, simple hey ?

There is 1 PED entry ticket, but sweat is accepted aswell so our young orange pyjama fellows can participate and make their first PEDS quickly !

(If you do have 1 ped cash, i prefer because I don't want to spend hours selling it, I'd rather do another treasure hunt, ok ?)

Next Hunt is beginning next Saturday night at 20:00 GMT+1 time. I will be in Port Atlantis, near boxes, to give you indications

YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY ME before the game actually begins, and don't pay anyone trying to sell you a ticket, ok ? There are not physical tickets in game, only people in my friend list will be able to participate, or people registered on this Thread.

So, put on your flying shoes and get ready for next saturday, the more people the bigger the prize next time, so spread the word ok ?

You'll find me usually each night at 20:00 GMT+1 hanging at boxes in Port Atlantis, near TP.

Actually will do have to pay me, but just before the game begins, when I have already hidden the treasure and I will give them an indication of the place to look for that only the paying ones will know.

That way it should work nice and smooth. I just want people not to be afraid that I would sell tickets and disappear. I will be ingame and supervising the hunt myself !

Sorry to wright something like this in your event. But aint there alot of scams going on right now with that technicue?

Admin you may delite this post if you dont whant it here.

Just think that people should be alerted.

For this to work, I think you should use the real event places in game. =) And Hide perhaps a animal oil at "Neas, for example" then let them look for it there. That way noone can be scammed. Advertising here is not proof of not scamming I think.

If people can't trust anyone then we won't do anything with this game

Let me prove you I am honest, I have been in game for over a year and testing pretty much all forms of playing without making any money ... just for fun ... see ?

P.S. : I have read the thread and indeed scam exists, but I am not promising 200 peds neither for 10 peds entry ticket. Half an hour of sweating to participate is really not much ... and I can only afford 15 peds prizes because that's what I have on my PED card ...

Why can't someone be honest for once ... ?

I do insist that I will make this event happen honestly or just stop playing this game. I am dead serious about that.

Sorry, you are new to the forum, don´t think anyone realy knowes you. And this is excacly the same as the scam that is going on. Since we aint allowed to say names on scammers on this forum I can't know who made the last scam even by making a treasure hunt.

But there is no garantie on this. You are just giving someone 1 Ped and hoping he wont run away.

I know the 1 Ped is small, but still no garantie.

I know, you are right, but I can't afford the event system of the game for now, it's too expensive. I'd like to expend this and even make a soc for event organizing but you have to start some day, right ?

Please people bear with me and see for yourself. I don't think I will get any subscription on this thread though, now that you almost named me as a scammer ...

Sorry I'm not telling anyone that your a scammer. Realy I'm not. Just warning them since there has been some scamming this way. Sorry if I made your event a lesser blast. But perhaps you should start thinking of real events instead. Or a event that dont make you risk any money. Not in this way. The risk is always there by not winning, but here is one more risk to watch out for.

If you have been in the game for a while and want to be event orginaser, theres therads for people searching those.

Once again sorry for ruin your thread by warning people.

People do this for free all the time. They hide stuff and post hints here on the forum of where to find it, or they hide stuff ingame and announce it in chat.

There is no way you can guarantee that someone who has paid you 1 PED will find the item. Someone else could come along and take it.

How do you verify that the person who finds the item will even tell you they found it? What if someone picks it up and says nothing? If this happens they will all be calling you a scammer and want their 1 PED back and you will lose the 15 PED item.

Well we could give him the benefit of the doubt...

Although most established event organisers do noobs events for free. It all depends on how many noobs you sell the contest to, if you give a 15 PED prize and only allow 15 participants at 1 PED each then I find no fault in the event, an honest lottery.

You could also stand in PA for a couple of hours and send 50+ noobs running all the way to Zeus looking for a prize that they might or might not find, and just vanish with 50+ PED in your pocket. Trust is very often misplaced in EU and needs to be earned. Even then it is no guarantee though.

I think it would be wise to do a couple of free events to establish yourself, I would even be willing to donate a few armor parts as prizes as I have done to several events in the past.

In any case, I would ask my fellow Calypians to not fling the "S" word around without proof. I do advise any new player that reads this to be cautious though as whith anything else you do in EU.
