While I know there is a lot of “Treasure Hunt” events on the go, these, to me, are not what real treasure hunts actually are.

A treasure hunt should consist of a chain of clues, each one leading to the next, and the final clue would lead to the prize. This is the type of treasure hunt I’m suggesting.

First and foremost – no entrance fee – this is for fun only.
Here’s how it would work:

I/we would try to run this for 5 days, say from a Sunday till a Thursday, as I know people never know there plans when they don’t have work the next day.

We would choose a certain MA time that’s reasonable for most… (Say, in theory, 20:00) and I (Or someone helping me) would be at a certain location at that time. (We’ll say 19:30 – 20:30 to give people time to get there if they are in the middle of something, or in case someone under-judges how long it would take to reach that location.)
The location would obviously be determined by the first/previous clue, and upon finding me you would be provided with the clue for the following day. (location)

All the clues will be fairly cryptic and may take a while to think about. (I’ve come up with 2 so far) The first clue would be printed on here, and everyone who cracks it and wants to take part would then make there way to that first location at gametime.
All those people would then be “enrolled.” And I would print a list of them here and give each of them the next clue. (Clues won't be printer here until after they are no longer current.)

The next day, the people from that list that figure out the next clue and find me again are again given the next clue, and so on until only 1 person remains, or the end of the 5 days is reached. (Prizes would then be split between them.)

As for prizes…I’m not a rich girl and unfortunately as I’m Goth irl every time I do get peds I’ll spend it all on black clothes, which eat peds fast. But I will try to get something together or get sponsorship from someone like a shop owner, with the prize being a 10% discount in there shop/s for a day or something.

Anyway, the point in the thread is not so much to hold the event yet, as I still need to think up some more cryptic clues, but more to open the idea up for discussion.

Have I made the idea clear enough? Would it be of interest to you to participate? Do you see potential drawbacks/flaws? Etc etc….

Would like to talk about it for a week or two, and then all going ahead, I will make it a genuine event.
