NOOB event!

Several threads concerning NOOB event have come up over the last few months, but nobody has gone though with one. I am please to announce, that I will be hosting a NOOB event at an undisclosed location in July. ticket prices will be 3 ped each, and only noob weapons and Armour will be allowed. weapons and Armour that will be allowed include any Armour or weapons from TT, pixie and goblin Armour, RepEdge 1x0 and 2x0 axes, and breers. If you are uncertain about a weapon, post it hear and I will approve or disapprove it. this event will most likely be near the end of July, but it might be in early august or maby even late June. please post any questions or comments and I will reply as soon as I can.

Two quick questions for you that you will need to consider if you haven't already:

• How will you ensure that only noobs attend your event? You will probably need to decide on a rule based on the skill levels of those wanting to join.
• How will you enforce your weapon rules? For example, if the people do use an inappropriate weapon, will they be prevented from winning the prize?

I will enforce skill limits by scanning the winner. If the winner has above 3k in any combat skill, he/she is disqualified and the runner up wins. this allows higher level players to participate for fun. also, anyone caught using any weapon that is not approved will be disqualified. I will not keep anyone out of the even, but i will not let anyone who is not a noob win. I will let anyone buy tickets and anyone hunt because this builds the prize pool, which is a collection of all the loots by the participants during the event.

Because the event is on a limited budget, all donations will be accepted. Donations of Ped will be used for event fees, and NOOB equipment will be included in the prize. If someone donates anything that i deem to high level for noob, I will sell it at auction and use the money to help host the event. Teams of 2-4 are aloud, but players may also choose to hunt alone. If you are interested in attending, but not sure, please post your name. As i am hardly qualified to host TP runs, I also would like more skillful players to help out by making TP runs to the land area with players who do not have the required TP. the land area I wanted to use will not work, on account of being hard to access, so do not know what land area I will use for certain, but I have my eyes on big berclyd ranch. mentors will be aloud to join there disciples teem without disqualifying the teem, but the mentor will not be awarded anything if his/her teem wins.

this event will be held at the berycled ranch (OLA 18). since the nearest tp is somewhat out of the way, tp runs to the nearest tp will be held several times before the event. if yo would like to help out by running tps, please let me know by pm.

since the first donations have come in, i am starting a list that records everything ppl have given me.

full male goblin (will trade for female if winner is female)

donated weapon cells will be sold during the event in case anyone runs out, then the money will be added to the pot/used for the event fees

Ok. Here are some more points for you to consider.

• OLA 18, Big Berycled Land, is dead. It is owned by a locked player and the fertiliser station hasn't been filled in months. The spawn rate will be very low and even a small number of event participants will be able to clear the land in just a few minutes.
• If you place the prizes in the event system prize pool they will be awarded automatically and you will not be able to use your scanning rule to see if the winner is too highly skilled.
• You cannot see skill levels with a scanner. However, you can see attributes and also professional levels if the avatar you are scanning has allowed people to see them.
• The event scoreboard only shows the people in the top 3 positions in the event. If you find that all of the top 3 are too highly skilled, who will you award the prize to?
• The official event system does not allow teams. If you are going for an official event it will have to be a solo hunt.
