guess its first come first served

if you arent there for the wormhole, pity
but i doubt there will be ppl controlling whos there and who not
not that it would be unnecessary works, its also kinda impossible to keep those ppl from entering wormholes :P

but the lag will be huge, don't have illusions about that


beside, to keep the lag at one location a bit lower
I'd like to suggest several start position

one of course, might be the swamp camp (many newbies there anyway, so the lag IS there already anyway)
alternatively phoenix (not too many mobs around usually)


destination ofc on top of the rig

lol iv only been able to do this once and that was when i was a noob and just stumbled into the worm hole... but i got killed the second i left the worm hole so this time i have to sucseed

is everyone in a team here or is it a free for all against eachother? id rather not get milled in a second just to get a look at this rig and what are the chances of me actually getting some oil?

well

the trip is more about seeing it actually, not about getting oil

i dont have any numbers, but the last time MANY ppl where there

so, your chances for oil are pretty puny

(besides, maybe for a bit modesty, a wormhole needs 670 ME or so to be opened, that is 12 ped per wormhole ^^, so, i wouldnt bring your own money interest that much into public here if you are brought already there that easily for you and costly for others; just a thought)

there will be no real teams

there will be a pk team, or more, on the side of the ppl who come to the rig
and also a pk team which will be actually there to kill everything in sight at the rig
there will most likely be some "atrox clearing" team

and i guess a little "hold fire" treaty for some min
after that the slaughtering will start
and other teams/groups will take ppl back to civilisation who want to

of course you can stay, and try for oil later

but i doubt that you will be lucky during this event

I agree. The event is about showing new players " THE RIG " . Many players have never been there because it is pvp and not very healthy
The oil does spawn randomly but anyones chances of getting it are slim,, depending on who is defending it at the time. The troxies in the area are also a deterrent and when the rig gets mobbed by 4 or 5 Old Alpha's at one time, the rig clears out pretty quickly Consider this a sightseeing tour,, nothing more,, nothing less. You may survive the other side of the wormhole long enough to see rig,, you may not

ps, what happens if im out there and everyone else goes away, will i be stuck for a while till the next oil rig run?

no lol you will have to find your way back to civilsation yourself

the best was to do is follow the water and eather head to twin or fort troy
