Shooting Stars Competition

Fellow Inhabitants of Calypso,

After a great deal of DNA testing within the friendly confines of my personal laboratory, I am nearing the reproduction of some non-native inhabitants of the Ametherian Continent. I recently purchased Land Area #19 from Marcus the Estate Broker to help harbor these new monster clones. Upon reaching my newly purchased land, inspection revealed that there are an overwhelming number of Allophyl present in the area. I’ve done my best to fight them off but had little success. I’ve decided to turn this task over to you, the people of Calypso, to help rid the land area of the majority of these unwanted monsters.

In addition to needing the Allophyl cleared, the area will also need to be cleared of any and all monsters, minerals, and enmatters that could prove harmful to the newborn hatchling clones. I would remove the Allophyl DNA from the fertilizer station, but alas, the scientist in me fears their extinction in the future. Please raise your guns and bring your mining tools in the name of science!

As a scientist I know that progress cannot be achieved without sacrifice. I’m offering several BIG REWARDS for the help given, and I’ve laid them out in a list below. These rewards are geared towards helping motivate those that assist with the cleanup effort. I’m making it a bit of a contest. I guess the contest idea sprung forth from the scientist in me that knows the importance of competition in promoting innovation, creativity, and advancement.

Although all help is appreciated, I cannot give rewards without proof of service. Not only would my research be hindered by the lack of funds available, but I’d also have many individuals that would abuse my offer of payment. In order to prove your services have been rendered, I’m forced to request screenshots of all Global and Hall of Fame Honors that you’ve managed to obtain upon my land. These screenshots must include the Current Position, Date, and Global/HOF Announcement all in your Avatar’s chat menu.

This contest is NOT only for Allophyl hunters! It is for all hunting and mining honors received on LA#19.

In order to make this a contest for Ubers and Noobs, I’m implementing a “Stars” system for this competition. The Global and Hall of Fame Honors are worth different amounts of Stars based upon their value in PEDS. This Star system is laid out below as follows:

1) Bronze Star (Global Honors Under 100 PEDS) – Worth 1 entry in the random drawing at the end of the 4 month period contest as well as 1 points towards the monthly prize (described in Secondary Prizes section)

2) Silver Star (Global/Hall of Fame Honors below 500 PEDS) – Worth 2 entries into the random drawing at the end of the 4 month period contest as well as 2 points toward the monthly prize.

3) Gold Star (Hall of Fame Honors over 500 PEDS and below All Time High Status) – Worth 5 entries into the random drawing at the end of the 4 month contest period as well as 5 points towards the monthly prize.

4) Platinum Star (Hall of Fame Honors that reaches All Time High Status) – Worth 10 entries into the random drawing at the end of the 4 month contest period as well as 10 points towards the monthly prize.

SECONDARY EVENT

Star Hunter of the Month “Shooting Star” – The Hunter with the most accumulated points in the hunting profession (must be from killing monsters) during each of the 1 month periods laid out for judgment will receive “Shooting Star” status. This means that 1 such award will be given out in each of the next 4 months for a total of 4 such “Shooting Star” awards.

Star Miner of the Month “Super Star” – The Miner with the most accumulated points in the mining or probing profession (must be from mining or probing) during each of the 1 month periods laid out for judgment will receive “Super Star” status. This means that 1 such award will be given out in each of the next 4 months for a total of 4 such “Super Star” awards.

Star Stalker killer of the Month “Stalker Star” – The Hunter that receives the greatest number of Allophyl Stalker Globals/HOF Honors will be granted 1 free platinum star towards the Main Competition (worth 10 entries).

Shooting Stars will receive DOUBLE the amount of ALL Taxes I have received from their Global and Hall of Fame Honors (including hunting & mining Globals/HOFS). This number will be calculated based upon all screenshots I’ve received IN THIS THREAD demonstrating their location, the current date, and the amount in PEDS in the chat window for their Avatar. They will also receive an additional MYSTERY prize, to be named at a later date.

Super Stars will receive DOUBLE the amount of ALL Taxes I have received from their Global and Hall of Fame Honors (including their hunting & mining Globals/HOFS). This number will be calculated based upon all screenshots I’ve received IN THIS THREAD demonstrating their location, the current date, and the amount in PEDS in the chat window for their Avatar. They will also receive an additional MYSTERY prize, to be named at a later date.

Currently there are a variety of ages - Olds, Providers, Guardians, Dominants, Old Alphas, Prowlers, and Stalkers. They're pretty hard to aggrovate, so Miner's should be fine to weave around them.

it seems to me the scientist in you needs to lay off the bottle...unless you have developed a method to manipulate time, in which case my appologies ( and i would like to apply to work in your lab as a janitor )

Thanks for your advice, and I appreciate the way it was said Kel! I always love good humor at my expense . I have edited the time schedule slightly but am still sleepy - let me know if I left any mistakes please! I also edited the Silver Stars to include both Globals and HOFS below 500 peds and above 100 peds. I accidentally had omitted the Globals in the original post. Please take note. Actually you can just shoot their legs. Even if you are aiming between them it usually hits
