Overview:
This will be a Team Event. Teams will be tasked with locating a VIP and transporting them back to a set location. First team to return with VIP wins.

Date and Time:
Race will be at 2 different times on each race day to afford all time zones the opportunity to participate.

First Round, Race One - 27 October 2007 - 16:00 Calypso Time - (12 noon EST/USA)
First Round, Race Two - 27 October 2007 - 10 pm EST/USA 02:00 Calypso Time this will be 6 hours later,10 pm (2200) EST USA 27 October - Sunday morning the 28th 2am Calypso Time

Final race will be early November. This will be based on number of teams.

Cost and Prizes:
20 PED per team. 3 players per team. A PED prize will be awarded for each race with the remainder awarded as the Grand Prize. We currently have 2,500 PED in the prize pool.

Sponsors:
The event is currently sponsored by BlackRain and will be run by Zar Necroo (rwin) and the JSA society. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor please contact me via PM. There are many options for additional sponsors. Event billing, start/end the event at your place of business, and or utilize your employees as the VIP’s to be rescued.

Event Scenarios:
Register for the event in this thread with your full in-game name, hit points, and agility of each team member.
List the race time that would be best for your team also.
1600 or 0200 Calypso Time

• Example: Krusty The Clown 106/48 0200

Registration ends October 23rd at 0200 Calypso Time (10 pm EST/USA). Schedule will be posted on October 24th.

All participants will meet at the designated place 30 minutes prior to the start. At that time, fees will be collected, and each team will be told the location of the starting and the finish lines. Each team will be told the location of their VIP prior to the start of each race. First team back to the finish line wins.

The winning teams from each race will proceed to the final race. The winning finalists will compete for the grand prize. Prize amounts will be posted on the 24th of October; minimum prize pool is 2,500 PED!!

We have several race zones mapped out at varying degrees of difficulty. Average team strength will determine the legs. All distances are equal. However, if you have some kick-ass skills, don’t expect a Sunday stroll in a snabble herd. The VIP's will all have roughly equal agility (+ or – 1 pt), and keeping them moving and alive is the key to a victory. Optimal teams would have an agility between 35 and 50, and HP 90 to 120.

* the target stats above are just in general, anyone of any level is more than welcome to participate!!

Rules:

* Teams will consist of up to 3 members. 3 is strongly recommended.

* Team name will be sponsor/event name followed by Team #.

SAR Team 1

* Items cannot be given to or used by VIP's.

* VIP's may not wear armor unless dictated by scenario.

* You can Fap/Heal your VIP.

* Teleport chips and “T” revival feature may not be used.

* Teams may not solicit the help of other players.

* Unless dictated by the scenario, teams may not interfere with other teams (mob herding etc.).

* All team members must start and finish the event together.

If your VIP dies, you are eliminated. We may do a second race on another day for teams that lose the match for a smaller prize.

Teleporters may be used in some scenarios in the case of a start or stop location that is a great distance from the race zone. This will be determined by the event judges prior to the event and posted here. Otherwise, consider all TP, 'T' revival, and teleport chips off limits.

The goal is to have a good time in a competitive fun environment. Fair play and good sportsmanship will make this happen. We will need a minimum of 6 teams to move forward, 12 max for this first event.

FIRST RACE

VIPs

1530 ma time, all race teams assemble at ABE new oxford, we will collect entry fee and give you the cords for the start of the race.



SECOND RACE

VIPs
0100 game time VIP’s meet at ABE new oxford – you will be teamed up with guides who will take you to the spot your going to be rescued from.

0130 ma time, all race teams assemble at ABE new oxford, we will collect entry fee and give you the cords for the start of the race.





As you finish the race go back to ABE New Oxford, we will award the prizes there, take some screenies and hang out for a while

Prizes and final race.

We lost one team due to some unforeseeable circumstance. There will be 2 races total in the morning and one race in the evening

Winning team from each race will receive 400 ped.

The final race will be either the first or second weekend in November – I will meet with the 3 winning teams to figure out the best time and date.

The 3 remaining teams will compete in a race for a 1000 ped prize.

The remaing ped and another goodie or two will be given out via drawings held during and imeditaly after the races. Everyone needs to make sure ALL the names are on the roster. People from the night race may win a prize from the morning drawing and vice versa so lets get those names in asap.

Since you let the cat out of the bag... Yes, I am returning back to Earth to resume the life I had left behind when I came to Calypso. The wealth of friendships and excitement I found while here will be remembered forever, but alas, there is a family and a life back on Earth to which I must return.
