HjS-LAN #9 March 2008

HjS-LAN #9 will once again be hold at the internet café Skate & IT-Center in Nyköping, Sweden. We have chartered the whole place for 60 hours including all equipments. It will be 20 rental computers and room for 45 more to those who wanna bring there own. The price will be 300SEK for a hire machine and 150SEK for a seat if you bring your own computer (Breakfast buffet included Fri-Sun).



Skate & IT-Centers space is 415 square meters with a cafeteria, Poker room and rooms for X-Box 360 and Nintendo Wii via projector. Free parking lot for all participants behind the building! Skate & IT-Center is surrounded by restaurants and also have a public bath house next doors (~1km). The LAN starts on Thursday 27/3 at 22:00 till Sunday 30/3 12:00.



To be able to take part in this event you need to be Swedish or Norwegian and registred at hjerpeskans.se. This is the 9th HjS-LAN we arrange since 2002.



Skate & IT-Centers equipment:
AMD 3500+, 2Gig DDR, nVidia GeForce 7k series and 19" LCD monitors. Projectors connected to X-Box 360 and Nintendo Wii. They will also be used during the computer competitions and watching movies. The connection to internet is 30Mbit fiberoptic via "Stadsnätet".

Arrangements at the LAN:
Lots of competitions in Entropia Universe via PvP and Hunting, using the ingame event system. There will be tons of prices with a value of 60.000PED (~ $6.000) sponserd by MindArk. Movies via projector, the oldscool HjS pentathlon and a Poker tournament in Texas hold'em. One of the special guests this LAN is members of the 501'st Nordic Garrison. They will patrol the area during the weekend to raise money for Barncancerfonden. Well there are a hell of a lot more, just be there or be square! (Other sponsors: Activition & Game)

Some sleep on the floor, some use the keyboard as a pillow, some bring inflatble madrass?
