On behalf of NZR I would like to announce a new MONTHLY hunting and mining competition with a 6,000 ped prize pool! Between LA 2 and 6 most hunters should be able to find a mob best suited to their skills and gear.

Midlevel Atrox, dense areas tend to be on N, NE and NW borders
*The maturity has been set to YOUNG, Dense on 2 of the DNA and to Med, Dense on the other 2 DNA....we will continue refining settings.

Prize Details:
The TOP 26 point entrants will have their global-hofs entered into a modulo drawing, winner takes 5500 PED.

A second prize, a Jzar scope giving +14% Hit Ability (tt+650 value!), will be given to the Top 26 entrant with the most global-HoFs that doesnt win the grand prize.

Point System:

1. PED Value of Global-HoF = Your Points

2. Each Global-HoF of the Top 26 = single entry to Modulo drawing
-1 uber HoF may get you into top 26, but the dedicated hunter with many small globals-HoFs would have more entries to the Modulo drawing.

3. I reserve the right to expand the modulo entrants from 26 to 62 provided that the following condition is met: The number of active entrants in the hunting competition reaches 250, active being defined as someone who has submitted 2 or more global-HoFs to this thread.

4. A leader board post will be updated at least twice per week allowing you to track your position in the contest.


Submission Rules
-submissions accepted starting time Dec. 21, 2007 at 0:00 MA time
A screen shot of the global-HoF must be posted to this thread and include
-The global-HoF message in the chat window
-MA Time (Press c)
-Map Coordinates (press p)
--Must be in borders of LA 2 and 6
-Loot window must be visible
-Your Avatar Name must be clearly readable
-Team Globals-HoFs are allowed provided they are submitted for only 1 individual clearly listed in team.
-Mining Globals-HoFs are allowed provided they include in screen shot the deed information providing the location and size of the strike.

Submission Deadline
-You have 24hrs from the time of the global to submit to this thread.
-Competition will end for the First Month's Competiton on Feb 3rd, at 0:00 MA time.NZR has extended the contest two weeks due to holiday travels and Merry Mayhem chaos...BUT he has also increased the prize pool to 6000 ped to compensate!!

Prize Drawing:

The top 26 entrants will have their globals and hofs sequentially numbered in the order received, starting with the number 0, then 1, then...you get the idea.

Using the modulo function a winner will be selected based on the Mega Millions Lottery numbers as posted on the Illinois Lottery web site for Tuesday, Feb. 5th. Then the total number of entries' modulo will be used to determine the winning entry.

Final Hunts Taking Place, those at the bottom becareful your entry isnt bumped off the list by last minute entrants. Remeber this is modulo drawing of entrants from the Top 26, it only takes one to be lucky!



A Final Listing of each entry number for the modulo drawing will be posted following the conclusion of the hunting. You are encouraged to double check that post prior to the modulo drawing as all results will be final at that time.


Ending Date is given as: Feb 3rd, 0:00 MA Time, there has been some question as to what this means. The 0:00 time designation is the beginning of the day, not the end. Soo.... a global on Feb 3 at 00:01 is AFTER the deadline. A full discussion of the 24-hr time system can be found HERE

Your total points is equal to the total ped value of your global-hofs. The top 26 individuals based on points will have a number assigned to each of their global-hofs. The winner is then picked by a random number (the lottery number) that is adapted to the number of entries we have (the modulo function). If you have 1 uber hof that would be one entry. But if you made the top 26 by say having 12 global-HoFs, then youd have 12 entries into the drawing. The winner then is a truely random selection among the final twenty-six but you have a better chance with more entries.

Sry, i dont know the modulo function, and im not familiar whit this type of event i like the ideea that any of the first 26 participants can win... but how will be this made i cant understand.
